La soluzione classica? Usare tante canne diverse... col risultato di avere un gran caos a bordo, specialmente quando si deve recuperare. In questo video vi mostro un esperimento a cui sto lavorando: una nuova montatura a "braccioli progressivi" pensata per coprire interamente la colonna d'acqua (fino a 20 metri e oltre) utilizzando una sola canna. 🎣 L'idea alla base: Una lenza madre lunghissima con nodi specifici che permettono di avvolgere tutto nel mulinello, distanziando gli artificiali di circa 3 metri l'uno. L'obiettivo teorico? Gestire fino a 10 artificiali contemporaneamente senza grovigli! ⚠️ Attenzione: È una tecnica sperimentale. After an amazing time in Turks & Caicos, it was time to point Mirage toward the Bahamas 🇧🇸 In this episode, I sail solo from Providence, Turks & Caicos to Little Inagua, Bahamas - a 70 nautical mile downwind passage filled with steady trade winds, deep blue water, and pure sailing rhythm. I departed at about 3:00 PM, made an overnight stop at West Caicos, and at 6:00 AM headed out again for the final leg to Little Inagua. Conditions were nearly perfect: 140–150° TWA with about 20 knots of wind, making for a fast, smooth, and very enjoyable downwind sail. This video was prepared for marketing and promotion, but between filming in August 2025 and video production in September 2025, a full price offer was received and the video was put on hold. The sellers of Tabula Rasa were the second owners of this Nordhavn 55, but really the first “users” and cruised extensively in the Caribbean. Tabula Rasa is a unique Nordhavn 55, a 2006 model year. Tabula Rasa is hull 18 in the Nordhavn 55 series. She was actively cruised, ventured far and stayed in tropical locations for extended periods. Sin dalle prime ore della notte del 18 gennaio 2026 il bacino del Mediterraneo centrale è divenuto teatro di una profonda e rapida ciclogenesi di matrice nord-africana. Il sistema, denominato “Harry“, si è originato tra il Canale di Sardegna e le coste tunisine. In Sicilia è stato lo Scirocco a dettare legge, portando un’aria densa e carica di salsedine che ha sollevato il mare Ionio in un’ondata di energia distruttiva. La costa orientale tra Catania e Messina si è trovata a fronteggiare muri d’acqua alti oltre sei metri, con i marosi che hanno superato le barriere artificiali per reclamare spazi urbani e infrastrutture costiere. Nel video è ripresa la completa devastazione del Porto Rossi, situato in località Caito a Catania, nei pressi della stazione ferroviaria Catania Europa. Un porto con 250 posti barca e 65 anni di storia che andrà totalmente ricostruito. We finally turn south and commit to the big decision — crossing the Pacific 🌊 With a huge passage ahead of us, it’s time to stop procrastinating and start ticking off the long job list. In this video, we head into Hammock Beach Marina for a few nights to give Escapade some much-needed TLC. From deep cleaning and bleaching our canvas, whitening the gel coat on the sugar scoop, and repairing worn canvas, to installing new stainless steel to reinforce our solar panels on the existing solar arch — it’s all hands on deck. We also finally get our depth transducer and chart plotter compass reading sorted, which has been a long time coming. Despite a few unexpected setbacks, it feels amazing to make real progress and start preparing Escapade properly for what lies ahead. The Pacific is calling, and we’re getting ready to answer.
