Heads up, there are two minutes of black at the end... if you watch that far, thank you! ;) Graciosa Island or La Graciosa (the funny girl) is a volcanic island in the Canary Islands of Spain, land is a protected Natural Park. The population is less than a thousand, sustained by tourism and fishing. Streets are unpaved sand and motor vehicles are limited. Hiking up the side of the volcano we were teated to sweeping views of the coast. The Northern hurricane generated swell that disturbed our anchorage was easily appreciated from the lofty vantage point. The evening brought darker weather with more swell and gusting wind. We savored the storm. But, after a couple of magical days on La Graciosa, we moved on to Rubicon on the southern end of Lanzarote. Hissy Fit, more used to performance racing, lends herself beautifully to creating the perfect setting for a two family holiday. Fun and sunshine as they cruise our beautiful southwest UK coast.

One of our first glimpses of Dazcat 1295, Slinky Malinki, engaged in some serious racing, and she does extremely well coming in 3rd in class. Meanwhile D1495 Hissy Fit who is also racing has a crew consisting of two children under five and a grandad of some greater age! There are also some more able bodied crew aboard to help her round and all rise to the challenge beautifully as she match races against Slinky Malinki all the way around. Some stunning scenes of the spectacle that is the iconic Round the Island Race with over 1000 entries.

A short and mellow video with relaxed sailing and some glimpses of life aboard as Dazzla crosses back to the UK. The legendary 87 year old Mike Butterfield, president and founder of MOCRA, is on board. Dazzla was sold as 'structurally complete hulls' and finished by the owner.

Belladonna (D10) and Hissy Fit (D1495) are out enjoying our beautiful coastline and the great racing combination of sailing, running and rowing. Hissy Fit comes in first in class.

Sueños, more accustomed to serious performance racing, has fully converted to a cruiser to take her family off on some adventures. Here, they are in the Canary Islands enjoying warm seas and light winds.

This three day race is one of our firm favourites. Not least because it gives some of our Dazcat family a chance to meet up and socialise. We normally expect it to be a blustery and wet affair, so early in the year, but this year we were treated to scorching hot sunshine and very little wind. Many of the boats retired on some or all the legs as the pub was calling, but still we managed to have a great deal of fun. Belladonna (D10) our oldest and smallest racer came in 1st overall.

R2AK is the first of its kind and North America’s longest human and wind powered race, and currently the largest cash prize for a race of its kind. It’s like the Iditarod, on a boat, with a chance of drowning, being run down by a freighter, or eaten by a grizzly bear. There are squalls, killer whales, tidal currents that run upwards of 20 miles an hour, and some of the most beautiful scenery on earth. You, a boat, a starting gun. $10,000 if you finish first, a set of steak knives if you’re second. Cathartic elation if you can simply complete the course. R2AK is a self-supported race with no supply drops and no safety net. Any boat without an engine can enter. Last year 37 teams were accepted and 21 finished. Most people in the yachting industry think of Benetti as being located in Viareggio, where they produce a stunning array of superyachts. Their production facility down the road in Livorno is unknown by many, but is truly breathtaking and actually towers above Viareggio in terms of the sheer scale of the operation. | Season 3 | Episode 50 Welcome to Season 3 of my channel! On this episode we push off from the island of Björkör and sail across the Gulf of Bothnia back to the Stockholm Archipelago. We were trying to outrun another wind storm that was heading our with but ended up having to try and find safe harbor on a small island as the winds increased to above 30 knots. We abandoned our attempt when we saw there was no safe place to tie up and pushed on finally finding a small sheltered marina at Alsvik on the island of Yxlan. This season will follow my time on board SV Arcturus as we explore the Åland Islands and beyond. We sail into cities, tie up on small islands, anchor bows to and ride out a blow before heading back to Sweden. I hope you will follow along with us on the trip. We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, fifteen months after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it. Much love Carla and Simon

Gourmet Fish soup with Mahi Mahi in Bequia - Sailing Nipe EP 10 Today we cook a very easy and good fish soup on sailing Nipe. We used our own Mahi Mahi that we caught on the Atlantic crossing, tasted wonderful!!( you can use any fish that you have at home) You can add a little aioli beside when you serve and maybe sourdough bread. Yummmmiieee Ingredients: Onion Garlic Ginger Chili flakes Coconut milk Fish broth Tomato pure Ketchup Carrot Potatoes Timjan Scallops or clams Mahi Mahi or white fish Salt and Peper 1: Frie up onion, garlic, ginger and chili flakes, put aside 2: Take coconut milk ad fish broth,tomato pure, ketchup,carrot, potatoes,timjan, salt and pepar. 3: Ad the onion mix. 4: Cook for 20-30min until the carrot and potatoes are soft. 5: Ad the fish and scallops/clams, cook for 3-5min, turn the heat off. 6: Let it rest for 2-3min before you serve. 7: Enjoy with sour dough bread.

We were told that Portobello had great restaurants so if you can share a good in the commends bellow, that will be lovely...
