I sail from Orford, Suffolk to the River Blackwater & in to the River Crouch before sailing across the southern North Sea to Ostend (Oostende) Belgium. With the weather volatile late in the year, we have to wait for a small weather window before sailing to Harwich & the River Orwell before returning to Orford. *****Follow Me: ***** Twitter: https://twitter.com/samingosailing Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/samingosailing FaceBook: https://en-gb.facebook.com/samingosailing/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt6TpIGTLEsBUrBY-vwiq_g

Music & Info in this section: Waaaaaaahhhhooooooo! Amazing what a fresh lick of bottom paint can do. Avalon is feeling pretty and races to Tahiti to mingle with the other boats with her fresh new look. So strange to be at a busy anchorage again - this is the central hub for yachts in French Polynesia as its remarkably well resourced. We take advantage of being near chandleries and supplies to finish off a few boat jobs before our guests arrive. Then a bombshell is dropped that they’re arriving 24 hours earlier than previously thought! So the scramble begins. Meet Ben and Joyce. Well you’ve met Ben before in the episode where we had a drunken passage to Ibiza and rolled into de club straight after anchoring. Joyce is his beautiful girlfriend he’s brought along with him this time so he might be a bit more well behaved on this trip. One set back though - they’re here for a Kiteboarding holiday with no kites. Shame on Air New Zealand for losing their bags. Naaah well, time to explore inland on this paradise island. We got chatting to the locals and were given instructions on how to find an obscure hike with 9 waterfalls. Thanks for watching guys. Crocodile Creek in the west Kimberleys Australia is one of the craziest anchorages we have ever sailed to! Up a creek past jagged rocks, sand bars, and a huge rusty ball of steel is a small deep hole underneath a waterfall. Its only accessible on high tide and when the water drains (up to 11 metres) you are land locked and tied up to the cliff face. We enjoyed sitting underneath a second waterfall on low tide and swam in the fresh pools up top! Not for the faint hearted to get up to this place, this is a real gem in the remote Australian lands!! This video showcases quite literally the best snorkeling and diving Mexico has to offer. We spent a month checking out the best spots which included La Paz, Cabo Pulmo, Cabo San Lucas, Guadalupe Island, the Cenotes, and topped it off with a visit to the largest whale shark congregation in the world off of Isla Mujeres. Our goal was to put together an epic Mexico trip for the future. Stay tuned for future trip itineraries!

Bianca talked about her sailing career, challenges she has faced and her next big adventure, the newly-rebranded Ocean Race 2021. Get to know the dive sites of Raja Ampat Time Stamps 00:00 Intro 00:21 Dive site description (Briefing) 03:27 Dive site underwater 07:19 Ending. Than you and please subscribe Diving Paradise. Discover Nudibranch Rock. It's easy to see why this site is called Nudibranch Rock (I could not use the short name for nudibranchs. As you can imagine, YouTube didn't like that very much) . Just look at the profile of the island. Luckily there are also nudibranchs to be found under water. This dive site is very diverse and marine life can be found everywhere. In the deep water there are often barracudas or Bump-head Parrot fish. Sometimes even big stingrays in the sand. In the more shallow water, there are of course all the beautiful soft coral and all the marine life that make these areas their home. This video was entirely recorded on a GoPro Hero 7 Black. Even though "Ghost" is a 2003 model, you really need to see it to appreciate all the upgrades the present owner has added. In 2015, he spent $70,000 to replace the old engines which include new shafts, gear, controls, engine water, and heating system. Also, in the same year, he replaced the engine panel, electric shifters, shaft seals and racor filters. This catamaran has a cruising speed of 19.5 knots and a maximum speed of 23 knots. Hello boat builders! My name is Jop and I'm a mechanical engineer from the Netherlands. In my spare time I'm converting and old Danish bunker tanker into a classic steam-tug houseboat here in the harbour of Copenhagen.
We leave Baie Iré, New Caledonia and make our way to Baie du Carénage in Prony Bay, New Caledonia to try and find the cascale falls, prison ruins, old mines and settler’s ruins. We check out a hot spring, which ends up not being so hot! We poke around and finally find some older setter’s ruins which are very interesting. Mavi gets to have a fly and shows us what is around us. Thanks for watching and following along with our adventures. We are cooking today with our friends from New Zeeland @youngbarnacles. We are on the racing base of American Cup sailboats in Valencia. Baking special cookies: Anzac biscuits and weet slice. You can cook it! The crunchiness of Anzac Biscuits goes back to the roots of when they were invented – by soldiers’ wives who needed a biscuit recipe that would stay fresh for the months that it would take to reach soldiers overseas back in the early 1900’s. The warm sweetness from the golden syrup combined with the wholesome goodness of oats and coconut is a flavor that is unique to this crunchy Australian biscuit! Always popular and so easy to make, this Weet-Bix slice recipe is a great way to involve the kids in the kitchen. Let them crush up the Weet-Bix for the base and pour on the icing after it’s baked. Estarmos abertos à mudanças e encará-las de forma positiva, afinal, se não fosse assim, não estaríamos onde estamos. A short message at the end of this episode, we’re trying to make a plan for Cyclone season. 🌪 In this episode we leave Vava’u heading for Niutaputapu 🌋 and catch a massive Mahi-mahi We aren’t the best fishermen in the sea so we were pretty excited as we hadn’t eaten and fish for a month since leaving New Zealand 🇳🇿 If you don’t know we have a rule that we don’t allow meat into the boat unless you catch & Cook it yourself. We’re not all vegetarian so this makes for pretty desperate times haha 😂 We hope your loving the episodes If so do us a massive favor and smash the like button on YouTube 👍 -Captain Nate &; The Salty Crew of Sylfia

This week we finished the painting of our abandoned sailboat, it doesn't look like it was abandoned for 22 years anymore. hehe. Now, the only paint we need is the non-skid on the deck, and the bottom paint, but that's for another week. If you are new here... we are a Brazilian couple that have just bought a 44ft hot galvanized steel sailboat (Dinieper Tropic 1200) and is on the mission of bringing her back to life after 22 years abandoned on the hard. Once we are done, the plan is to sail her to our home town Florianópolis so we can finish building our land base, a Tiny Shipping Container House that we are building ourselves without any prior experience. No Food, Fix everything, Too much wind, Not enough wind, Beautiful Culture... https://www.sailingnandji.com/ In this episode of Sailing Nandji, it is all about life as a liveaboard in remote Indonesia. Living on a sailboat means we need to be 100% self sufficient as we are travelling extremely remote areas of the far west islands of Indonesia where help is a very long way away. We go through the struggles of keeping Nandji in top shape, what we do to find fresh food to eat and then continue on our way sailing through the islands. We have been in the southern islands of the Mentawai archipelago for the last couple of months and it is time to make our way back north en route to Thailand. We enter into the stunning Telos Islands after being away from any kind of developed civilisation for weeks, hopefully here we can replenish our cupboards as they are very empty. We take Flubber the tender on our longest mission yet to visit the local village in search of food! We head back to sea only to be confronted at night by a bigger vessel charging straight at us. We are on edge as this is the closest and scariest call we have had on the sea... With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and then onto the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the years to come. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra where we are living the island life and chasing the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we are returning to Thailand in the coming months and then taking the northern route of the Indian Ocean to the Andaman islands and onto Sri Lanka before heading south to Chagos and across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trades begin again! The adventure is just beginning! We departed the east coast of Australia in July 2017 and have since sailed over 10000nm. We have explored some amazing countries and met some beautiful people along the way. We have experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our lives doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades around the World! Thank you very much, you guys are amazing supporting us with your likes and comments, we really feel that we have a new family out there. Much love Carla & Simon A little bit about us... We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it. Much love Carla and Simon
After a pretty hectic weekend in Mykonos, we return to the boat and set sail, heading towards Poseidon's Temple with our new crew members, Fadia and Adam. As per usual in the Mediterranean we have another hot morning, the only thing that was missing was a nice cup of coffee. That's when everything went wrong... we ran out of gas. Literally the worse job for the morning but Alf gets to it and changes the gas bottle and we head on our way. Follow our adventures sailing the Mediterranean Sea, living on our sailboat!
