For INEOS Britannia it was a day that promised much with around 7-8 knots of breeze at sea level just off the Barcelona beachfront and a very flat sea-state. Unfortunately for the sailors, the breeze died and on the tow out to find better breeze, near where the TP52 fleet were racing, a small tear occurred at the clew of the port skin of the mainsail whilst under tow and after investigation from the shore team and boat captain the day was canned. And Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli have a problem to solve. It’s a nice problem to have though. Such is their wealth of talent in the helming position with Jimmy Spithill, Francesco Bruni, Marco Gradoni and Ruggero Tita, all of whom are sailing at an incredibly high level, that Max Sirena will have sleepless nights when the call comes for the starting line-up ahead of the Challenger Selection Series this time next year. Ep 57 – Hodge Podge… / Sailing Free Spirit We have a little bit of one off stuff that we used to put together this video from our standard format. Andy creates access panels on the floor to get to the water, fuel and motors he may need to access for inspections. We found a cool bottle opener on the boat and reinstalled that in the galley while Nancy was making dinner one night. Whenever we sail to a new country there is always that small window of time from when we first drop the hook to when we are officially checked into the country. That process can sometimes be quick and easy, but more often than not it’s a lengthy and frustrating process with multiple trips to various government agencies. And knowing exactly what documents are required, what taxes need to be paid, what restrictions need be observed can require a lot of research and the information you do find can be outdated, or each port can interpret the laws slightly differently. So checking into a country is always a bit of a nerve wracking experience because lurking behind the paperwork and bureaucracy is the ever present possibility that they might not let us in.

He did such an amazing job installing the butcher block countertops that he came back to help us change out the smaller than twin size berths to a wonderfully large & normal size King Bed!! Whoo Hoo! There is so much room to sleep and snuggle now!! Yes, George still takes up the whole bed. Who knew a little 15lb dog would need a King size bed but he is King After all!!
