Valhalla Boatworks is a spin off from Viking Yachts Company so the pedigree was already established when this Valhalla 41 first hit the water. But hype doesn't always stand up to the test so together with the boats skipper and a Viking owner we spent an entire day testing this boat and CRIKEY she's a bloody weapon! If you are looking for the ultimate machine to power you up and down the rough waters of our coastline this is it! Yes she's a little heavier and requires a tad more horsepower than some of the designs you see me test, but quite seriously if you just want the best and are prepared to pay for it, then from what I learned onboard this Valhalla 41 I would suggest that this is it. The FJORD 41 XL makes for an incredible day boat, weekender, or party boat! It has as striking paint job and top notch features throughout. I loved the convertible aft seating area and the oversized T top near the helm station. In this episode we show our favourite way to remove the hair from a pig that requires minimal equipment or people to help. Some people skin their harvested pig in the mistaken belief that de-hairing is more difficult, but this introduces two major drawbacks. First, you are wasting a fantastic product if you discard the skin but worse still, a skinned pig carcass is incredibly slippery and hard to handle. Finally, leaving the skin intact provides a great barrier to food spoiling bacteria and meat dehydration. Ep 58 – Appliances are here!! Sailing Free Spirit Unbox and placement of our Stove, Refrigerator and Freezer. Yay! This was a huge change to the boat. One giant step was done today to getting this girl cruise ready. Stove is a Force 10 - 3 burner ceramic electric cooktop with oven and the refrigerator and freezer are Isotherm. The freeze is a 4 shelf unit so I can separate food into sections. All units were purchased from West Marine. Lots of food testing will be done so I can see 1) how much power we are going to needed because I don't think the current situation will work; 2) can I use all burners and oven at the same time and 3) how much food can be stored in the freezer and refrigerator. So some testing will be done over the next couple of weeks.
