Marblehead saw lighter winds on Friday for Day 2 of the US Match Race Championship for the Prince of Wales Bowl. Competitors have now finished 16 races each, almost completing the second round robin. Quarterfinals begin tomorrow with Canfield, Dellenbaugh and Perry topping the scoreboard going into Day 3.

This short video shows glimpses of the Sail Morotai yacht rally. It started at the Ocean View Marina, on Samal island, next to Davao City in the Philippines and arrived, by way of Talaud, in Morotai island, Indonesia. The following yachts participated, some departing from Philippines, some arriving in Indonesia directly from Borneo and Malaysia: Alk, Amazing, Bach & Byte, Braveheart 1, Break Away 6, Calisto, Candela, Catimini, Cilantra, Ela, Escapade, Expeditus, Freiheit, Gadfly, Jeminah, Liberte, Mandolin Wind, Mary, Metana, Moon River, Orbit, Rubicon Star, Sherilee, Shuang Yu, Sloepmouche & Thyme. These yachts came from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden & USA. This rally was organized by the Indonesian Government. The departure was coordinated perfectly in the Philippines by Ellen, from Ocean View marina. All the participants were welcome so warmly and well in both the Regency of Talaud and Morotai with welcome dancing, meals, tours. Despite the number of people and different authorities involved, things went quite smoothly! Great souvenirs by all! Filmed in September 2012.

Renee and Lynette have sailed over 30,000 nautical miles aboard their 27 foot steel sailboat "Tekaihau" since pushing off from New Zealand. They recently pulled into Dutch Sint Maarten in the Caribbean, sold Tekaihau, and bought a much larger sailboat, a 1968 Moody Halberdier 36. They renamed her "Bubbly" and are now refitting her to continue on their circumnavigation back to New Zealand. We visited Renee and Lynette on sailing vessel Bubbly on the hard in Dutch Sint Maarten in February 2012.
