Nel 2010, fra le celebrazioni organizzate a Padova per la Giornata del Ricordo dall'ANVGD e dal Comune, ci fu la proiezione di questo videodocumentario in cui, fra l'altro, c'è un approfondimento sul magazzino 18 e sulle masserizie ivi depositate dagli esodati (con riprese video effettuate nel 2009, abbinate ad immagini di repertorio e testimonianze). The Jeanneau 57 features a dinghy garage which can accommodate a 10' dinghy fully inflated or a larger dinghy partially or fully deflated. The garage contains an air pump to inflate your dinghy and also a power winch to easily pull your dinghy into the boat over the included rollers. The lowered garage door makes for a huge swim platform and is a great option for lounging or as a platform to base off of for divers. In this video I operate the electric furling mainsail on a new Jeanneau 57 with Harken electric rewind winches. Though this video is aboard the Jeanneau 57 it should be able to help you operate any similarly equipped vessel. Finn sailors require a higher level of strength and power as well as, at times, good old fashioned sheer grunt and force to really push the boat through the water. The Finn is the only class that represents the 90 KG and above sailors and is a true test of power, endurance, and mental strength, and with the free pumping rule being lowered to 10knots it really has increased the physical demands of these powerhouse athletes. The British Sailing Team Finn Squad now not only have to build the brute force needed to sail the boat, but with new sailing techniques and the relatively new pumping rule sailors also need to be fitter whilst maintaining the strength in order to compete at the top end of the fleet. We catch up with British Sailing Team Podium sailor Andrew Mills who explains the physical requirements of his chosen class, gives details about his training regime and tells us what is needed to make it in the world of Finn sailing.

Jetzt muss der Käpten wohl baden gehen. Er übergibt sein geliebtes Megafon an den Steg und springt kopfüber ins Wasser. Die Leine ist schnell geborgen. Rentner Peter soll Käpten Sailnator wieder aus dem Wasser helfen. Doch der gibt etwas hämisch zu bedenken, dass er ohne seine Zündkerze nicht zum Motorboot fahren kann um es abzubergen. Käpten Sailnator hat Angst um seine Ankerleine als Uschi auf Amwindkurs darauf zu fährt. Aber sie fällt dort souverän auf Halbwindkurs, dann auf Raumwindkurs und Vorwindkurs ab. Um jetzt um das Heck des Motorbootes zu kommen müsste sie eine Halse fahren. Aber das sollte sie ja nicht. Also versucht sie es noch einmal. Käpten Sailnator schlägt vor eine Wende auf Höhe des Ankers zu fahren. Aber auch nach diesem Manöver landet Uschi irgendwann auf dem Vorwindkurs und müsste wieder eine Halse fahren um zurück zum Motorboot zu kommen. Zuerst sollen Uschi und Wolle in den Wind segeln, aber sie müssen feststellen, dass das nicht geht. Dann zeigen sie den Amwindkurs. Sie luven so weit an bis die Fock killt, fallen ein Stück ab bis sie wieder steht und der Amwindkurs liegt an. Dann fallen wie weiter ab, fieren die Segel auf, Halbwindkurs liegt an. Als sie weiter abfallen fällt irgendwann die Fock ein, Uschi luvt ein Stück an bis sie wieder steht, Raumschotkurs liegt an. Sie fallen weiter ab, die Fock hängt schlaff hinter dem weit geönneten Großsegel. Das Kommando von Uschi lautet: Über die Fock, und Woll zieht sie auf die andere Seite. Vorwindkurs liegt an. Käpten Sailnator ist zufrieden und macht für heute Feierabend. Aber da ist ja noch Rentner Peter. Der hat bemerkt, dass Käpten Sailnator seine Boje vergessen hat.
