Sage 15 ASOLARE rigged as a catboat (aka, SageCat) and sailing on Lake Dillon, CO. 20 August 2016. Winds 10-15kts. Seas less than 6". On a reach the boat sailed 5.8kts with a 5.5kt average.

Here you have it ... the first video of a Sage 15 sloop sailing! ASOLARE is shown sailing into Admiralty Inlet, Puget Sound, just off of Marrowstone Point. Wind is blowing 10-12 kts, seas 1'. During this video ASOLARE's helm is balanced, tiller is secured with a TillerClutch, and she is holding her own course. Yes, the trim of the sail's isn't the best ... still figuring out the best set for the sails to have her doing her best.

Introducing the first Sage 15 SageCat (ie, catboat version). Here she is launched and sailed for the first time on Lake Dillon, Colorado. The winds were light ... and the SageCat showed she can make tracks even in when the wind is blowing less than three or four knots.

Raw video of Sage 17 AIR BORN sailing the down wind leg of the second race of the Cruiser Challenge on Monterey Bay, CA. AIR BORN took second place in this race and second place in the regatta medium boat class. 1st place honors in the medium sized boats were taken by Sage 17 GOSHAWK sailed by the Sage 17 designer Jerry Montgomery. You can see GOSHAWK in this video under AIR BORN's headsail. The person shown in the video is friend Stan. You can see the other boats in the medium and large boat classes behind Stan. The Sage 17s were first and second to finish of all large and medium sized boats. At 1:36 you can see a yellow hulled boat with a tanbark headsail. That is highly modified Potter 19 REGAIL.

Another rough cut video from the first leg of Race to Alaska. Sage 17 AIR BORN is sailing herself on balanced helm. I'm in the cabin keeping the ship's cat, Momma Kitty, company. In the later part of the video the boat in the distance is one of the race participants, Team Excellent Adventure, sailing a Montgomery 17 named PACIFIC.
