In the last episode we left you with Jamie and Brendon who had nipped over to Phiphi for the night. They took in the back streets, a storm and some thai boxing before returning to ao chalong. Back there, Jamie starts preparing Esper for her last journey of the season. Back in Ao Chalong they wait for the rain to subside and the clouds to pass before putting out the main and weigh anchor under a painted sky. The last part of the journey sees them having to motor into wind and to an anchorage just outside their destination. At 2pm Yacht Haven calls through to let Esper and her crew know that it's time to come into the marina. With the help of the manager Nick and his staff, Brendon and Jamie tie up and head straight to a local restaurant for some light refreshments. Papas and Mamas is one of three restaurants in the area. It's built on stilts as it's surrounded by water at high tide. We find Papa, the proprietor, laughing his head off at a poor yachtsman who has run aground on a sandbank outside the marina. This little incident keeps Jamie and Brendon amused for a while. There but for the grace of god and all that... With Esper safely tied up Jamie takes a trip to the UK to see his family, but don't worry, we've got loads more to come! In the next episode we return to esper to find an unrecognisably large cat on our boat. And we start to prepare esper for some sailing around some of Thailand's most beautiful coast line. Installed the Sylvania SilverStar Ultra H11 headlights, son say much better than before. From the factory bulbs to these he can see farther, the beam seems wider, and the light is whiter. Eine lange Auszeit! Alles einmal anders machen! Aus dem Alltag entfliehen! Was passiert eigentlich wenn man wirklich einmal diese Ratschläge befolgt, die einen oft seit Jahren in Zeitschriften und Büchern verfolgen? Fühlt man sich dann wirklich so frei, wie dort ja so oft beschrieben? Ist es diese ständig nagende Sehnsucht nach mehr Zeit wirklich wert, einmal aus allem auszusteigen und sein Leben und seinen Partner für einige Monate zu verlassen? Claus Aktoprak machte sich alleine mit seinem günstig gekauften und selbst reparierten Segelboot LA MER auf eine sechsmonatige Reise um auf diese Frage endlich eine Antwort zu finden. Bewusst wählte er die naheliegende Ostsee, um sich nicht durch Rekordversuche von seiner Suche nach mehr Zeit ablenken zu lassen. Dabei war stets die Kamera an Bord mit dabei, um alle Entwicklungen zum Zeitmillionär zu dokumentieren. Der Film zeigt in sehr persönlicher und besonderer Weise die emotionalen Entwicklungen während so einer Reise. Traum und Aufbruch, zielloses Treibenlassen, das Genießen der neugewonnenen Freiheit ohne Uhr, aber auch Heimweh und Einsamkeit werden zum Thema. Und am Ende des Films bleibt man mit dieser wunderbaren Reiselust zurück, und nimmt sich vor nun endlich auch einmal mit seinen Träumen ernst zu machen. Zum einen tragen dazu natürlich die sehr eindrucksvollen Bilder des Segelns in der skandinavischen Schärenlandschaft bei. Aber der Musiker Aktoprak ging noch einen Schritt weiter und hat die viele Zeit an Bord sehr kreativ genutzt um seine Emotionen während der Reise auch musikalisch festzuhalten. Nach der Reise sehr aufwendig mit über 30 Musikern aus verschiedenen Ländern produziert, verbinden sich die Bilder und die Musik zu einem wahrhaft sehnsuchtsmachenden Werk und man möchte in einigen Momenten nicht lieber tun, als an Bord von LA MER gehen um ebenfalls für ein paar Monate als Zeitmillionär zu leben.
