Sailing our RL 28 trailer sailer “Neringa” through the central Whitsundays. The journey continues into Hill Inlet at the northern End of Whitehaven Beach, a paradise for trailer sailers and other shallow draft boats. Some good aerial footage of the inlet using the drone. After 2 relaxing days of exploring this beautiful location by dinghy and by foot we head north for Nara Inlet. Along the way we hook a 60cm Bonito Tuna. Nara is a superb anchorage with rock art and climbing ashore. When exploring by dinghy we discover more reminders of the power of cyclone Debbie with 2 boats stranded on the rocky shoreline by cyclonic winds and storm surge. On the sail back to Able Point we hit 30 knot winds in the passage with Neringa handling it beautifully. Bonaire has over 400 caves and many of them are underwater. We went to find some of them but that was easier said than done! Our PADI open water course continues and we have the final exams the same day as a tropical storm is about to hit the island.
