We continue to enjoy absolute paradise in St. Barth's...except, we've run out of propane on the boat. After a few more days of lounging in the anchorage of and on the sands of Shell Beach, we find that our propane has run out mid dinner prep! Not a big deal for that first night, but the next day we realize that almost everything on the island is shut down due to being a holiday weekend. Finding one bakery that is open, we live off sandwiches for a few nights until we can hunt the streets in search for any place that can either fill our propane canisters or sell us butane bottles to run our grill. Then a surprising thing happens....a mega yacht drops anchor just next to us, and it happens to be Tommy Hilfiger's boat! Maybe he can lend us a little propane to get through the next few days? This episode is coming to you from the Tongan Islands and Fiji! In this Chris catches 150 pound Dogtooth Tuna, the biggest fish we've ever caught. Sayo's sister Rain, and her partner Jordy come visit us in Tonga and we have a great time exploring Tonga before heading off to Fiji. Miya even has time for a nice long bath and sees a whale! We absolutely love Fiji and the fishing there has been incredible. We love spending time with the villagers in Fiji and giving back to them in whatever way we can. Giving them the big tuna was an amazing experience. The whole fish was gone in 30 minutes. The core of "Family Circus" is Chris (Dad / Captain), Sayo (Mom / Admiral), Aya (First Officer / Deckhand) and Miya (Baby / Stainless Polisher). After many years in business in Vancouver we were tired of life inside the box and wanted to make a change, we just weren't exactly sure what would be next. In July of 2016, when Sayo was six months pregnant, we decided (somewhat at the last minute) to fly to New Caledonia for one last holiday before the baby was born. PA Consulting RS Feva European Championships Day 3 Day 8 of the RS Games brought champange sailing! There was sunshine, an awesome breeze and plenty of shifts to keep the sailors on their toes! The sailors were greeted by Steel The Show, a locally based steel band, as they got off the water. Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy put on some tasty Carribean food and the RS Feva class sailors and parents let their hair down. After a stunning sunset over chesil beach, rumour has it there was dancing on the Volvo Events Stage well into the evening!
