In inverno è tempo di maltempo. Per prevenire i problemi di stress delle cime d'ormeggio e delle bitte (o winch nel nostro caso) meglio spendere un po di soldi e di tempo per mettere delle molle. Noi abbiamo scelto un modello morbido perché la barca deve spostarsi spesso e diventa più facile muoverle. Vi mostro come ho fatto e cosa ho usato.

Comienza la I edición de Sailing Living Fest con el taller de robótica subacuática de Nido Robotics. Comenzamos desde el Acrobat, amarrado en la Marina de Sur Tenerife, y enlazamos con las instalaciones de Nido en Murcia.

Enseñamos la cocina del Acrobat, los espacios de estiba para las bebidas y los alimentos. Nos acompaña Marta Zapata, que más tarde hará un taller de Magia y otro de juegos de Ingenio.

Ana Martínez nos enseña a reciclar velas reutilizándolas como material textil para confeccionar varios productos como: bolsas, carteras, etc. También nos muestra los films ecológicos de Bee Cool.

Depois de entortar nosso pau de spinnaker, de perder os eletrônicos (anemômetro e speedômetro) e de ficamos sem nossa contra-escota, decidimos voltar para o Bracuhy para trabalhar no Barba Negra, já que ele merece todo nosso carinho para nos manter seguros. Assim sendo, dá-lhe matatona de manutenção! Isso tudo aos 40 graus de Angra dos Reis! Logo, aproveitamos a desculpa para passar dias com o ar condicionado ligado trabalhando dentro do barco. Nada mal... 😉

2014 - Salvador Bahia Brasil E lá estava eu, Tâmara Janaina e Enio em serrinha no interior da Bahia há 200 km de salvador quando meu pai me ligou e disse: - Quer ir pra Recife de veleiro comigo? Estamos precisando de tripulante. Agora a volta é por sua conta! E eu disse: Claro!!! Quero sim. Quando? Ele: Amanhã! Detalhe: A festa era a noite que Tâmara queria ir junto com Janaina e Enio. E só ia sair as 3 ou 4 da manhã. Então acabamos curtindo a festa e saímos as 2:30 onde ainda fui pegar meu carro em Feira de Santana pois estávamos com Ênio para não ir em 2 carros. Peguei o carro em Feira e mais 1 hora de estrada de madrugada pra Salvador. Cheguei em casa as e foi o tempo de colocar umas peças de roupas e meu notebook. Então 6 horas da manhã lá estava eu na bahia marina já no veleiro e as 7:00 abastecemos o barco e 8:00 partimos. Vernon Deck is a great example of jumping head first into sailing and just figuring it out as you go along. He learned by watching sailing videos and doing local racing as crew, then purchased a yacht, spent 3 weeks on preparation, then untied and departed. His first 3 seasons were spent sailing the 780nm passage between Brisbane and Cairn on the Australian East Coast on a S&S 34 before buying a much faster Sayer 37 yacht and heading offshore to Solomon Islands, then onto Papua New Guinea and then Indonesia. After a lifetime of adventure and earning a living as a sports photographer, Vernon now spends half of each year in Austria earning a living and the other half onboard his yacht, cruising his way north through the Pacific. We sail north from The Sir James Smith Islands to Hamilton Island, with brief stops at Thomas and Shaw Islands. We have some Percy Island honey for one of the residents and have a look back at the Pearling Lugger industry.

Check out the link below for a complete list! https://www.youtube.com/user/drakeParagon/playlists?shelf_id=30&view=50&sort=dd SALMON CHOWDER INGREDIENTS 2 TBSP butter 1 small onion, minced 1/2 cup chopped celery 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 clove garlic, minced (we add more) 2 TBSP all purpose flour 1 cup peeled and finely diced potato (we do not peel them) 1 cup thinly sliced carrots7677677 3 cups chicken broth 1/2 tsp dried dill 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper 2 cups milk 1 cup frozen or canned (drained) corn kernals One 14oz can salmon 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional) DIRECTIONS • Melt butter in a soup pot over medium heat and cook onion, celery, and bell pepper, stirring. • Add garlic after vegetables start to get soft, 3-5 minutes, and cook 1 minute. • Add flour and stir until it is evenly dispersed. Add potato, carrots, broth, dill, salt, and black pepper. • Stir and bring to a boil over hight heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until potatoes are fork tender, about 20 minutes. • Add milk, corn, and salmon. Heat 5 more minutes. Ladle into bowls and serve with a little grated cheese on top, if using. #sailboatlife #boating #canning

Today we share our first voyage on Archer. After a winter "on the hard," we launch the boat and sailed her off-shore from Maryland to Rhode Island. Joined by two friends, we pushed Archer to see what she could do and hit a top speed of 18 knots (15.2 knots recorded on video, which you'll see)! This boat can run! More coming, so check back soon! See the film of the 74th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. After being sent off in typical splendour from Sydney Harbour, the 85-strong fleet travels south along the New South Wales coast before braving unpredictable Bass Strait. The 628-nautical mile adventure continues down the east coast of Tasmania to Storm Bay where it turns and heads towards the Derwent River for the final stretch to the finish. Wild Oats XI took line honours for a record ninth time, holding off three other Super Maxis in one of the tightest finishes in race history, while Tasmanian entry Alive was overall Tattersall Cup winner on handicap.
