All you're going to do is drive your boat almost directly into the dock position at about a 45° angle. Make sure your boat is going nice and slow once you are at the dock, and then use opposing engines to spin the catamaran to align it with the dock. Anticipation has turned 50 this year! And she needs a HUGE facelift. We spent the last few years tackling some really big projects, but there's one more big hurdle before we can get this project signed off... Getting the boat painted! After the other boat we looked at failed the survey, we decided to use that money to go ahead and hire professional help to get this project DONE. And not only get it done faster, but at a much higher quality than we could do ourselves. HOWEVER, we still had to wrap up some of the work ourselves before we could get her ready for her appointment with the painting professionals! We had the yard use Awlgrip paints to move away from the outdated gel coat from the 1970s, as well as a new paint scheme to really make Anticipation stand out! What do you think of her new look?? Join us on our first night sail as we navigate the historic coast of Normandie, passing the D-Day beaches and battling some of the craziest tidal currents in Europe ⛵️🌊. After being stuck in Boulogne-sur-Mer due to strong headwinds, we finally get a 48-hour window with perfect winds. We set off on an unforgettable journey, sailing 110 nautical miles south, experiencing our first night at sea, and witnessing the sunrise over the ocean horizon, a truly magical moment 🌞. During one of our sails, we encounter a close flyby from a French coastguard helicopter, and have no idea why! 🚁 We make stops in Dieppe and Cherbourg, and stumble into a classic French bicycle race.
