Essa travessia seria a nossa mais longa desde que começamos a nossa viagem: 680 milhas, mais ou menos 5 ou 6 dias dependendo do vento. Estávamos ansiosos. Na verdade enquanto eu verbalizava minha ansiedade e dizendo estar com borboletinhas no estômago, o Sergio andava de lá pra cá no convés sem parar um minuto! Faz parte da vida que escolhemos! A gente já tinha feito uma perna de 4 dias e tinha sido maravilhosa, mas a verdade é que nunca sabemos o mar que vamos encontrar, então sempre vem um medinho.... Estávamos abastecidos e preparados para vários dias de mar. A travessia foi muito melhor do que esperávamos! Tranquila, sem problemas e o Barba Negra estava voando com 3 nós de corrente! Chegamos a bater 12.8 nós de velocidade!!!

Come along on an epic tour of Portugal. We start out in the Douro Valley, where Port Wine is made. Then we travel to Aveiro, also known as the Venice of Portugal; where canal boats take you on a tour of the old neighborhood built along waterways instead of streets. After that, we venture out to Costa Nova where iconic stripped houses line the beach that faces the Atlantic Ocean. At the end, we visit Coimbra, a university town on a mountain top which holds the oldest University and Library in Portugal. The University was started in the 1200's in Lisbon and moved to this location in the 1500's. The library has been in continuous use since it was founded in the 1530's! Portugal has so much to offer and we are a little sad to be leaving soon, but the sea is calling us and we will be heading back offshore on our sailboat soon! We used the opportunity to perform a full service on Sisu and Tippex's engines and Petro gets a change to use the Sailrite to fix our stack pack sail bag, which got damaged during a storm.
