Back in Thailand it is time to tick some jobs off that never ending boat list. https://www.sailingnandji.com/ In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we return to Thailand from Malaysia and get straight into the list of boat jobs needed to complete before we can continue on our journey. Thailand is a great place to complete tasks as there are many options to find boat supplies. Whilst we were cruising in Indonesia, Yosh made a boo boo and accidentally put a hole in the tender. After patching it up himself, the continual leak has been driving us crazy so we take it to the professionals to fix. Whilst there, we get some added protection for our RIB. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra to live the island life and chase the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we have returned to Thailand to wait for the weather and begin our journey to the northern route of the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka before heading south to Chagos and across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trade winds begin! The adventure is just beginning as we plan to sail our Nandji girl around the world!! We departed the east coast of Australia in July 2017 and have since sailed over 10000nm offshore. We have explored some amazing countries and met some beautiful people along the way. Eine nagelneue Jeanneau Sun Odyssey in 44 Fuß bekommt man für "nur" knapp 240.000 €. Ein solches Angebot erscheint ziemlich attraktiv, wenn man seine eigene Langfahrt vorbereitet und sich bei der Bootssuche in ungefähr diesem Preisbereich aufhält. Allerdings werden verschiedene Schiffe für verschiedene Dinge konzipiert. Manche Modelle sind durch Aufteilung, verwendete Materialien und Konzept allgemein eher für Küstensegeln geeignet, andere Hersteller richten sich von Hause aus mehr auf Langfahrt aus. Und da Langfahrt und Bootskauf unsere Lieblingsthemen sind, haben wir uns auf der BOOT 2020 in Düsseldorf verschiedene Serienhersteller vorgeknöpft und gehen 7 Kriterien durch, die für uns bei der Auswahl eines Blauwasserschiffs eine große Rolle spielen, die allerdings teilweise nur mehr oder weniger gut gelöst worden sind. Es war super interessant, die verschiedensten Hersteller miteinander zu vergleichen. Wir waren auf zwei Jeanneau, Hanse, Sunbeam, Hallberg Rassy, Nordship und Faurby. Und am Ende stellen wir ein Segelboot vor, das unserer Meinung nach die 7 Kriterien sehr gut gelöst hat, damit wirklich Blauwassertauglich ist - allerdings auch seinen Preis hat. Die Sirius 40 DS. Wir haben auf der BOOT 2020 viele Zuschauer, Freunde und auch Kunden treffen können und hatten eine super Zeit.
