La sección de 'METODOLOGÍA EN LA VELA' ha sido realizada por el alumno del ciclo final: Héctor Rodriguez Bello.

Tras el escenario que nos hemos encontrado, en el que nos fue imposible realizar las FCT de formación presencial debido al Covid19, ya que los clubes estaban fisicamente cerrados al público ante la pandemia, se planteó a los alumn@s el siguiente proyecto académico-náutico. En él cada alumn@ ha sido una pieza de un puzzle, una parte de la tripulación, creando diferentes contenidos que uniremos al final del proceso con el trabajo de cada un@. Para ello hemos dividido al grupo dando a cada 'tripulante-alumno' un rol, como si estuviésemos haciendo una travesía de vuelta al mundo de vela de verdad. El tiempo que hemos tenido es de 40 días, 23 horas, 30 minutos y 30 segundos. Eso es lo que ha tardado el trimarán IDEC Sport en completar la circunnavegación al planeta más rápida de la historia de la vela, recorriendo 26.412 millas (42.500 Km) a una velocidad media de 26,85 nudos (49,73 Km/h) y ganando el Trofeo Julio Verne. Nuestra particular ‘regata’ empezó el 1 de mayo, soltando amarras en Lanzarote y llegando de vuelta tras 40 días en alta mar, el 10 de junio a las 12h, fecha tope de entrega de contenidos tras pasar por los Cabos más importantes del mundo: Cabo de Buena Esperanza [Sudáfrica], Cabo de Leeuwin [Australia], Cabo de Hornos [Sudamérica]. This is part 2 of our passage from the USVI to the mainland US. In this video we safe-harbour in the Ragged Islands while we wait from Tropical Storm Arthur to move out of our way. From there we have a few days of stormy weather to sail through before we make it safely back to the US. I was SO lucky to walk past this massive event this morning on my way back to our flat. I couldn't believe how friendly everyone was and truly excited to see me. The media immediately started pairing me together with the wedding couples. After a few minutes, I was able to learn about the event and its purpose which are both really interesting. The fact that Qingdao was hosting a wedding with many people in close proximity says that the fear of Covid-19 is pretty much dissipated. Also, I would guess about less than half of the people attending, and the couples did not wear masks. Another really interesting surprise was how the wedding culture heavily favored Western tradition. The girls were in traditional dresses and carried bouquets. I have yet to see that in Qingdao. It's funny though...most of the girls wore black shoes! The ceremony had most of the components of traditional western weddings and you will see that in the video. At one point, I was identified by a security guard and he would not allow me to stay inside the ropes....even though the wedding was almost over. He was showing me who was boss! Ironically, the girl who ran the whole event had invited me! I hele vår har vi stort sett bare vært på tur med hverandre og de vi bor med. Det har vært ganske bra vær og vi begynner å få dreisen på båten og seilinga. På grunn av reglene som har vært, har vi lenge bare seilt i indre Oslofjord. Heldigvis er det ikke like strengt lenger, så på 17. mai inviterte vi litt folk og helga etter seilte vi lenger enn noen gang før. Vi så havet!

It's so sad, I wish I had a cure for anxiety. If you feel scared and anxious, maybe you avoid doing things you really want to do.
