Nachdem uns das schlechte Wetter Anfang September ein paar Tage in Wilhelmshaven festgehalten hatte, sollte es ein schöner Segeltörn über die Nordsee nach Norderney werden... aber wie so oft kam es anders als geplant. Unerfahrenheit mischte sich mit Pech und so mussten wir schließlich nach Norderney motoren statt zu segeln. Das Großfall war beim Setzen des Großsegel nicht richtig angeschlagen und so hing die Leine hoch oben im Mast! Das unterwegs zu lösen war ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit! Auf Norderney angekommen mussten wir zuerst das Malheur am Großsegel klarieren, bevor wir dann die Insel erkunden konnten. Depois de três meses ancorados em Brewers Bay estava na hora de preparar o Barba Negra para a partida! Já haviam se passado três tempestades com nome e estávamos ansiosos para seguir para uma área um pouco menos vulnerável à temporada de furacões. Mas é claro que a gente não podia simplesmente levantar a âncora e partir. Primeiro tínhamos que comemorar o aniversário do capitão e depois fazer a honrosa despedida do lugar que nos abrigou e nos encantou com seus maravilhosos corais por tanto tempo! Era preciso ainda provisionar alimentos para a nossa navegação e mais 14 dias de quarentena. Ou seja, precisamos fazer mais compras para o Barba Negra e a ideia era aproveitar para dar um passeio já que Charlotte Amalie estava começando a reabrir seus comércio. Paramos primeiro em Crown Bay, onde vimos o primeiro bar que pudemos sentar! Que alegria! Depois de fazer supermercado, que atualmente é um misto de stress e paranóia imaginando quantas pessoas tocaram nos produtos que você vai levar para sua casa, pudemos sentar no bar da marina e tomar umas cervejinhas! Foi tãaaaaao bom! Depois fomos para Charlotte Amalie, mais compras (essas precisarem de três viagens do nosso bravo botinho!) e mais bares! Primeiro paramos para comer um hamburguer em um bar muito legal, várias pessoas nele, mas mantendo o distanciamento social. Tomamos uma cervejinha. Depois enquanto fazíamos as viagens de bote das compras resolvi esperar a volta do Sergio no bar da marina, uma vibe ótima, vários velejadores, cachorros, uma atmosfera bem relaxada. Daí chegaram os Stregas com o Choppinho. Claaaaaro que a gente se empolgou! Voltamos pra casa daquele jeito que o diabo gosta! rs A vida normal junto com a sensação de liberdade durou um dia. Depois foi arrumar o barco, levantar a âncora e partir!

A treacherous stretch. With 5knots of current from behind I was flying along at speeds of 11 to 12 knots. I almost ran over a whale, or he over me?!
