The goal of the constant variance test (body weight edition) is to determine if the order of body weight movements changes the finish time within each round. There are six movements that should be completed as quickly as possible for five rounds. Rest three minutes between each round you must change the order of movements each round. Sphincter tightens so quickly that my ears pops from the vacuum. Frantically search for ejector seat lever, but realize RV is not equipped with such a feature. Instead I begin emergency maneuvering of the RV to the shoulder. Tire pressure alarm, a bit late to the party, starts screaming. Turn tire pressure alarm off while completing emergency maneuver to shoulder. Arrive at shoulder. Stop. Apply parking brake. Turn off engine. Tire pressure alarm begins to scream a second time. Remove battery from tire pressure alarm while simultaneously uttering insults. Attempt to exit RV but end up dangling between seat and ground like a puppet. Remember that I still have my seatbelt on. Climb back inside RV. Remove seat belt. Exit RV. Assess damage. Tire exploded. Fender now shaped like a fortune cookie. Car side view mirror looks almost as though it were slapped repeatedly by a tire carcass. Sphincter relaxes, but leaves permanent crease in shorts that won't iron out. Get out tools. The family sailing crew of Element, living aboard a Catana 471 Catamaran depart Zakinthos, Greece from Episode 23, on their way out of the Mediterranean Sea towards the Atlantic Ocean as they continue their journey to sail around the world. The crew make daysails through the Greek Ionian Islands and as they make their way northward towards Albania. Shaun detects a seawater leak coming from an engine hose and we stop in Lefkas to order the new engine part. Rather than stay in a hectic and touristy charter base, we decide to wait for the new part in the beautiful anchorage of Lakka Bay, on the northern end of the Island of Paxos and it quickly becomes one of our family's favourites that we often look back on and talk about. The crew then depart Greece via Corfu and arrive in Saranda, Albania ready for their next adventure... DREAM is a very highly customized 124' Broward Motoryacht which is one of the newest hulls built by Broward Marine. Her interior design was originally done by Evan Marshall and cherry woods accented by Carpathian elm burl and rosewood throughout. Crown moldings are in contrasting light and dark cherry joinery. The interior was refit in 2017 by Architectural Interiors with new custom carpeting, overhead upholstered panels, new furnishings, window treatments and new soft goods throughout in 2021. In addition, the flybridge was reconfigured with the installation of a new step-up Jacuzzi and new granite surfaces throughout with a new Esinglass enclosure in ''21. The vessels accommodates ten guests in a five spacious staterooms. She is configured with a large on-deck master stateroom with king berth and private His & Her head on the forward main deck. On the lower deck, the spacious VIP stateroom features a king berth with private bath, shower and tub. There are two identical guest staterooms with queen berths and a fifth with twin berths. The full beam offers a generous main salon with 7' 2" headroom and forward is a new Baker dining room cherry table and dining chairs. In 2018, new HD TV's were installed throughout along with a new Sonos audio system. Forward is a commercial style galley and access to crew quarters below. After over two months stuck in Saint Martin, we decided that the best course of action for us to escape hurricane season and reconnect with our sanity was to repatriate to Sweden. We were finally able to sail to Curacao, where we had a day to decommission Polar Seal before being driven to a “quarantine facility”. What do you do stuck onboard for 5 days as your house is beaten by the wind and waves? As sailors we live and die by the weather. Every morning wake up, make some coffee, then check the weather. Sometimes the forecast is nice and we can stay put, but sometimes we gotta move our house to somewhere with better protection. In this episode we decide to move Delos to a new island to seek better protection. We have a fantastic sail set the hook, and begin exploring the amazing uninhabited island of Buena Vista in the remote Ragged Islands of the Bahamas. Full time cruising still isn't allowed yet in the UK, but that won't stop us from enjoying the water. Hearing there was a race on the Plymouth Sound, we jumped on our bikes and cycled out to see the action. We didn't have enough notice to get on a boat this week...but maybe next time? Ending our day early due to weather and a pants mis-hap, we save the rest of our adventuring for another day. When we do get out though, it is to the stunning River Yealm and the town of Noss Mayo. Hiking from the picturesque center of this posh town, we walk the waterfront to see the place we thought we'd be for half of May. Walking up the bluff to the river entrance we also spot a popular anchorage used just inside the harbour, and one outside that is permitted for anchoring now, but usually exposed to a swell. In 1997, after a disastrous Olympic rowing campaign, Rob decided to row a seven-metre plywood boat, 2500 miles from Tenerife in the Canary Islands to Barbados in the Caribbean. It took 6 weeks and he and his rowing partner, Phil Stubbs, won the inaugural Atlantic Rowing Race. Skip forward to 2014, we invested in Javelot a 43 ft Fountaine Pajot catamaran. Armed only with Robert's 3 years of racing P class yachts from the age of 11 to 13, and Rachel's non existent sailing knowledge, we set off to learn the ropes of ocean sailing. We broke stuff, replaced stuff and got to know our boat before heading offshore with our three children, Finn 17, Declan 15 and Ivan 12, in tow. Through trial and error, we have become confident wayfarers, kind of. Our plan? To sail around the world, meet the locals and record our adventures. Part of the journey will be retracing Rob’s eldest brother Kerry’s travels at sea. Using Kerry’s original letters from the 1970’s we will re trace his movements from Australia through Indonesia and South East Asia to Cambodia where Kerry’s life was cut short after straying into Cambodian waters in 1978.
