In this episode of the Art of Boat Building show how to make a caulking wheel for caulking a wooden boat. This shipwright tool is used to press cotton caulking in the seams of tightly spaced Atlantic White Cedar planks. Small wooden sail boats that are carvel planked, like the Haven 12 1/2 generally have tight seams that require the use of a caulking roller. In this video we go along to our friends boat to give it a much needed polish! We’re Stephen and Kayleigh an English/ Scottish couple and along with our two dogs Hugo and Coco we will full time on board our 37ft narrowboat Grayswood. After living nearly two years in our self-converted campervan we decided we needed more space. So, as a compromise (Ste wanted a boat, I was happy in the van) we decided we would purchase a boat after spending some time on our friend’s narrowboat. Grayswood was conveniently located less that 5 minutes from my work and was found kind of by accident. I was visiting a friend who was staying in Aston Marina and whilst we were out walking the dogs, I seen the advert for Grayswood. I said to my friend “that looks a nice boat” and as I said it the marina manager appeared and asked if we would like a look inside. Naturally we did. After looking inside, the boat I texted Ste and told him I’d found us a boat. We made an offer after going back for a second viewing, after some negotiations within a week she was ours pending a survey. She was hauled out the following week and the survey went well. We kept her out on the hard standing for a further six weeks whilst we renovated the insides including fitting a new kitchen and bathroom. A Rooftop Trampoline & Bestway Pool Means lots of Fun! - Watch our Best Trampoline Setup Ever! We put our Bestway Pool on the roof of the house and then put the mini Trampoline right next to it, to go and have some FUN! I think it's an Awesome Trampoline Setup! The video is inspired by other Trampoline Youtubers and motivated by my Youtube friend The World n Us! After three months in lockdown this is what we came up with. To be honest we should have done it before, it was loads of fun with the Plum Trampoline and Bestway Pool, so we might try another game here soon! The trampoline used is a Plum 55" Trampoline with safety net. The pool is a Bestway Steel Pro Pool. The adventure is a bit different than my usual adventures. Imaginez notre joie d'enfin pouvoir mettre les voiles après 1 mois et demi de navigation à moteur dans l’intracostal! Évidemment, nos péripéties continues… Cette fois-ci nous sommes pris en mer pendant 4 jours et nous devons apprendre a naviguer à la voile en pleine nuit tout en essayant de nous rapprocher de la côte le plus possible pour réduire la facture salée de la compagnie de remorquage.
