This episode was extremely hard to make, there is lots of boat jobs to get on with and we are as busy as always but its been a tough few weeks, I keep my chin up and positive for my family but my sadness over losing Boza is like a black whole in the pit of my stomach! Not everyone is a dog lover but for me Boza was very special, he was my best friend, he was my protector, he was the love of my life and my rock when times were hard! He has been there when no-one else has, I will never forget that dog, a piece of me died with him that day and I hold his memories close in my heart! Hold in the button on the handle to lock the winch handle; you can use it making complete turns as with your standard winch handle, but even better, when the effort becomes very considerable you can also use it in ratchet mode. Even manual operations become easier with Ewincher. • Combined mode, for ultra-fast operation: Lastly, combined mode, ideal for rapid operation. Поскольку мы стоим уже больше месяца на якоре у острова Лансероте, то решили изучить остров получше. В этот раз отправились на семейную пешую прогулку на вулканы Кальдерета и Кальдера Бланка. Безумно красивые пейзажи и в принципе не так уж тяжело. Однако мы были в шоке от Буськи. Для взрослого пройти 14 км по камням, а потом еще залезть почти на пятьсот метров на вершину горы, относительно несложно. А вот шестилетней девочке подняться пешком на высоту 150-го этажа и еще полдороги тащить на себе собаку. Да еще и ни разу не поныть. Мы не ожидали. :) Вулканы находятся недалеко от знаменитого парка Тимонфай. Это самый юный на Лансероте вулкан. Он извергался в течении шести лет менее трехсот лет назад. И до сих пор остается тлеющим. Во время извержения огромная территория острова была залита раскаленной лавой. Вся поверхность острова ходила ходуном и поднималась волнами. Словно при ледоходе на Неве. Верхняя корочка лавы, остывая тут же ломалась. Слои громоздились на слои. В результате образовалась небольшая копия ада, при взгляде на которую охватывает ужасающий восторг. Однако те вулканы, на которые мы шли, возникли немного раньше. Им чуть меньше, чем по два миллиона лет. Наступавшая лава из Тимонфая не смогла одолеть силу более старших и опытных вулканов. Поэтому они гордо возвышаются над бесконечным лавовым полем. Интересно, что уже в наше время, с начала и до середины 20-го века в кратере меньшего вулкана люди выращивали пшеницу и держали скот. В общем, прогулка получилась изумительной. И бутерброды на пикнике на вершине горы были одними из самых вкусных в жизни. :) Видео, конечно, не может в полной мере передать всей красоты этого уникального места, но не показать его я не могу. Мы шли где то 11 км по лавовому полю и потом поднялись до верхней точки вулкана на отметке 458 метров, пройдя еще пару километров по краю кратера. Из наших ошибок, это то, что Хыку пришлось по лаве тащить на руках (по вулкану она уже лазила сама) и у меня были кроссовки с тонкой подошвой - острые камни неприятно ощущались. Ну и зря не взяли с собой бутылочку мальвазии и штопор. Отхлебнуть из голышка отличной мальвазии, стоя на вершине Сонте Бланко и ощутить себя повелителем мира!

But with 0 (zero) expirience that would be difficult to achieve... I took a Transport Canada course and received my first boat license... I watched tons of videos about boats and sailing on youtube and got myself registered with dozen boat related forums and groups on a facebook... In May 2020 I came across a facebook post. Sergey was looking for a crew to bring his boat to the Caribbean. I travelled 1300 km from Montreal to Halifax to join him on his boat. The trip was cancelled two months later for legitimate reasons.  Since I made my way to Nova Scotia I decided to discover this beatiful province before going back to Montreal I have not given up on my dream of sailing. Because of this Corona virus situation in the world It is just put on hold... We get up early in attempt to leave Coffs Harbour to head further south, though we wake to the most recent update of the Covid situation in the greater Sydney region and decide to call off our departure. Instead, we show you how to build a tiller table and take our mates new Beneteau for a spin to Split Solitary Island where Miles floats away in his dinghy, and we dive into the clear ocean waters. Después de una estancia de 10 días en esta bonita y pequeña isla del Caribe, Canouan y descansando en su exclusiva Marina continuamos rumbo norte hasta nuestro próximo destino, Bequia, queríamos parar en la isla privada de Mustique que se ve a estribor, pero ya la habían cerrado por la pandemia. La navegación al igual que en la mayoría de las ocasiones es divertida, con vientos mantenidos de entre 15 y 18 nudos del ENE. Esta vez tuvimos que ceñir algo mas, con lo que la velocidad del barco pocas veces subía de los 7 nudos. No pescamos ya que había gran cantidad de sargazos que se enredaban en la linea, pero aun así muy divertida.

Launching from Hastings I sail around French Isand in Westernport Bay in a Clockwise Direction. Stops at Fairhaven, Red Bill Creek, Palmers Point(The Hump) and The coast to the east of Tortoise Head. I also sail over to Observation Point and Shelter from a Southwesterly blow at Cowes before heading back to Hastings.
