Ciao Amici! Bentornati sul Giugyssima! Oggi a grande richiesta vi mostro la mia morning routine invernale, che cerco di seguire ogni giorno prima di iniziare la lavorare. Questa routine é incentrata sul fatto che, a causa del lockdown, devo lavorare da casa e gestire al meglio il mio tempo tra studio, lavoro, sport, letture e vita privata. Come scoprirete nel video, ogni mattina io mi alzo alle 5 e 50 per iniziare ad essere produttiva giá alle 6 e concentrarmi sui miei obiettivi. Poi dedico un po' di tempo alla lettura, allo sport e alla cura personale, prima di iniziare la giornata di lavoro nello studio legale. Come sottolineo anche nel video, non tutti i giorni sono uguali, non sempre riesco a svolgere tutte queste attivitá (e non sempre la casa é cosí in ordine!), ma questo é il modo in cui cerco di organizzare tutte le mie giornate. Ormai non manca molto alla mia partenza, la mia prima lunga navigazione invernale in solitaria con il mio gatto 🐈Jingjok. Aangezien ik mijn Grinde in oktober 2020 heb gekocht wilde ik de boot niet in de winterstalling doen, maar doorvaren. Ik had niet gedacht dat we een strenge winter zouden krijgen. Dit weekend was het code rood met sneeuwjacht op de weg en windkracht 8. De komende dagen vriest het overdag een graad of 4 en 's nachts tussen de 8 en 11. Reden om de boot goed in de gaten te houden. Vandaag halen we twee keer de sneeuw van de boot en checken we de keramische kachel. Gelukkig konden we van de buren een tuinslang lenen voor de doorvoeren van de kuip. Als deze bevriezen en uitzetten kan het stukvriezen. Unsere Blauwasserreise führt uns auf die Kap Verden. Mit Lukas und Andrea von @girasolesailing9955 unternehmen wir eine Inselrundfahrt über Santo Antao. Weil bei der Girasole noch das Epoxy durchhärten muss, lassen wir unsere Segelboote in Mindelo und nehmen die Fähre auf die gegenüber liegende Insel. Die unglaubliche Vielfalt von Santo Antao hat uns sehr beeindruckt. Von den kahlen und trockenen Weiten im Süden, über die saftigen Berghänge im Norden bis hin zu den feuchten Tälern ist alles dabei. Wir hatten mit der traumhaften Schäre Hyppeln den nördlichsten Punkt unserer Reise erreicht und es wurde langsam Zeit, wieder nach Süden zu segeln. Es stand wieder zur Diskussion, ob wir in den Schären ankern sollten, aber der starke Wind, der für die Nacht angesagt war, bewog uns dann doch dazu einen Hafen anzulaufen. After several requests, I go through the theory and process in balancing the rudder on my RL28 to give a nice light helm requiring a couple of fingers to steer the boat even in heavy conditions. Before the modification the helm was heavy and required considerable force in heavy conditions to turn the boat. A relatively simple modification it could be applied to many trailer sailers which generally have unbalanced rudders. I talk a lot about the theory involved in rudder balance to help explain my my slightly unorthodox method is effective in providing rudder balance and a much improved helm.
