Although we arrived late to visit the fort, we were lucky to find a travel guide who gave us a very good tour of the fort and told us the complete history of the Talpur family and how they came to this state. Just a few mods and tips on sailboat trailers to improve safety

In this episode, I'm talking about my Pacific thoughts and also take you with me in parts of the real world of sailing and navigating through a covid world. I'm still trying to be positive and optimistic about my sailing adventure, even though reality sometimes is challenging. I have not given up on my pacific dream but it's still difficult to say when this chapter of my next adventure will start. At the moment it just seems stupid to even think about crossing the Panama canal and go out the big blue. Lots of people say they have crossed the Pacific yet they only sailed to French Polynesia. To be fair that's not even half of the Pacific, closer to one-third. Just to put things in perspective and then imagine all the closed islands and borders. We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. The first America's Cup was raced as part of the 1851 World Fair which was held in England. The race was organised by the Royal Yacht Squadron with the course taking the boats around the Isle of Wight. Originally called the 100 Guineas Cup it was later renamed the America's cup after the New York Yacht Club placed an iron fist on the regatta, defending it against all comers for well over 100 years. The Yacht America was the only overseas entry, taking on 18 boats which where the pride of the British fleet. Skippered by Dick Brown, America controversially took the race after confusion over the course allowed her to take the lead while collisions and groundings ruled the fastest British boats out of the race. The 1851 America's Cup was the first every international sporting event and set the seen for future cups, with many a wealthy business man spending a life time and large sums of money to try and win the cup. It has always fascinated me that a boat which was second in a race could start what turned out to be the longest winning streaks in international sport. The fact that America was second to Wildfire was made even more ironic when you understand the lengths that New York Yacht Club went to maintain their hold on the cup after their initial victory in the 1851 race. The America's Cup is the greatest prize in the sport of Yachting, if not in all of sport, we should be thankful for the 1851 World Fair which created the catalyst for the innovation that continues to push the boundaries of what is possible. I doubt any of the original competitors would have believed you if you said that one day the America's Cup would be raced in 60 foot single masted boats which could reach speed of 50 knots while sailing above the water with only 8 crew. I hope enjoyed Bottom Up Boats look back at the first ever America's Cup where the Yacht America defeated the British Fleet. C'est parti ! Javerne quitte enfin la thailande en diretion des Maldives. AU programme 1600 miles nautiques à parcourir, environ 3000 km. Avec une durée prévue de 8 a 12 jours en fonction des conditions météo. Vous nous suivrez au quotidien de cette traversée mouvementée. L'océan Indien n'a pas toujours été tendre avec nous, en nous gratifiant de grosses vagues, d'une mer croisée et hachée, bref des conditions pas très sympa. Mais nous y sommes parvenue. Un peu de technique avec les différents logiciels de navigation à bord, de la cuisine, des quarts de nuit. Et toujours de l'humour et de la gaité à bord. Passez une excellente semaine. Une super partie golf avec Henry et Pierre, lors d'une rencontre amicale du groupe BPG - Bordeaux et Passion du Golf. Merci beaucoup pour cette partie. Ciao Amici! Bentornati sul Giugyssima! Oggi a grande richiesta vi mostro la mia morning routine invernale, che cerco di seguire ogni giorno prima di iniziare la lavorare. Questa routine é incentrata sul fatto che, a causa del lockdown, devo lavorare da casa e gestire al meglio il mio tempo tra studio, lavoro, sport, letture e vita privata. Come scoprirete nel video, ogni mattina io mi alzo alle 5 e 50 per iniziare ad essere produttiva giá alle 6 e concentrarmi sui miei obiettivi. Poi dedico un po' di tempo alla lettura, allo sport e alla cura personale, prima di iniziare la giornata di lavoro nello studio legale. Come sottolineo anche nel video, non tutti i giorni sono uguali, non sempre riesco a svolgere tutte queste attivitá (e non sempre la casa é cosí in ordine!), ma questo é il modo in cui cerco di organizzare tutte le mie giornate. Voici le Jour 3, dernier jour de ma mini croisière en baie de Quiberon. j'espère que vous avez apprécié suivre ma navigation, comme si vous y étiez.
