Hi Guys, In this vlog I show you the weather I've had living on my narrowboat on the canal in winter. I had all 4 seasons including a frozen canal. I was a bit under the weather when I filmed - I'm much better now. Hope you enjoy! Kayleigh I'm Kayleigh and along with my two dogs Hugo and Coco we will full time on board our 37ft narrowboat Grayswood. After living nearly two years in our self-converted campervan we decided we needed more space. So we decided to purchase a boat after spending some time on our friend’s narrowboat. Grayswood was conveniently located less that 5 minutes from my work and was found kind of by accident. I was visiting a friend who was staying in Aston Marina and whilst we were out walking the dogs, I seen the advert for Grayswood. I said to my friend “that looks a nice boat” and as I said it the marina manager appeared and asked if we would like a look inside. Naturally we did. After looking inside the boat, we made an offer after going back for a second viewing, after some negotiations within a week she was ours pending a survey. She was hauled out the following week and the survey went well. We kept her out on the hard standing for a further six weeks whilst we renovated the insides including fitting a new kitchen and bathroom. Welcome to our channel and thank you for being here. After 2.5 years of sailing we thought we would share our wonderful journey across the sea with you. In this episode we tell our crazy story of how it all began.... After a trip to South Africa to visit close relatives, we met a guy called Darryl.. he was a sailor who had started his sailing adventure back in the 1980's buying his first boat at the age of 28, he told us some awe inspiring stories that literally captured James' heart and mind! He was hooked....line and sinker... After watching many others 'sail away' on YouTube...and that it is actually possible for 2 people to do it alone, we went to the Southampton boat show and the London Excel to find out more.. With barely any experience between the two of us, we bought a Bavaria C57, ''a bit like my flat in London'' is what I said. With that, the deal was done and there was no turning back. James sold his business, I left my career in London, and that was it, we had 6 months to prepare and get ourselves ready for the biggest challenge of our lives.... We went back to South Africa and learnt to sail, sailing in 30-40knot winds, I nearly bailed.. I didn't. In July 2018, we set sail for the Mediterranean, visiting some wonderful countries along the way, across the Atlantic and have been sailing ever since. We wished to document our story for loved ones back home who cannot be with us and anyone who would love to be on this journey with us too.. It is all thanks to Darryl who inspired this whole movement, we still keep in contact and have been back to see him and had some really fun times together....maybe one day we might sail to see him! [Day 99 #VG2020] The final stretch hasn’t been easy for Alexia Barrier, Ari Huusela and Manuel Cousin. Repairs, injuries onboard and tough weather conditions don’t seem to end. But they all keep their spirits high hoping to arrive soon in Les Sables d'Olonne.

After spending wonderful weeks in Tahanea with our friends Yumyum and Nomad, the time of saying goodbye slowly begins again! While we leave together with Nomad and Roxy for a southern anchorage in Tanahea, Yumyum continues to Makemo and we find ourselves in another paradise location with crystal clear water and enjoy another calm and relaxed day with some boat work and snorkeling until we decide it's time to get out of the water - the bass are a bit too aggressive for us and we enjoy a last BBQ together before it's time to say goodbye to our friends for good. It's a crazy time aboard Talisman, as we prepare to haul for hurricane season. First we suffer an engine room fire, which sets us back for a bit. Wendy goes for a swim and finds a shark under the boat. Before full-time sailing, I have sailed several seasons in the Med prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and also been an active regatta sailor. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and been sailing ever since. PLEASE BE KIND IN THE COMMENTS! I'm just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! YACHT DELIVERY CHRONICLES : "Sorisa" a 1983 Cape Dory 28 Welcome to another episode of Yacht Delivery Chronicles. On this episode I was hired by two of our Patrons, Kevin and Clara, to help them move their new boat from Oxnard, California to Dana Point, California. The total distanced covered in the delivery was 90nm and it took us 18 hours motorsailing with following seas (with some night sailing without the sound of the engine thrown in for fun) We crossed paths with a megapod of thousands of charging dolphins, many of whom took a minute to play on our bow before getting back into the masses. On the midnight watch we sailed into a massive crowded big ship anchorage that was obscured by a thick blanket of fog. Currently there are 30+ cargo ships under anchor due to a back up at the Los Angeles Harbor and we would have had to slow our process to a crawl if the boat didn't have a working radar. We got into Dana Point and to Sonrisa's new slip safe and sound where Clara was waiting with coffee in hand. I have very happy for Kevin and Clara and look forward to following along with all of their future adventures on instagram. Join us in this episode as we explore the island of Efate in Vanuatu. We are on a swing mooring in Port Vila and see some city sights. Then we hire a car for the day and load up on an adventure to see parts of the island that we can't get to by boat. We end up at the well known Blue Lagoon and have a wonderful time splashing in to the water over and over and over again! Este vídeo mostra um pouco da nossa primeira velejada no LUMAR, já em águas catarinenses... Saímos da Avelisc por volta das 9 horas da manhã com uma previsão de vento sul que seria super favorável para o nosso destino final, um local abrigado dos ventos em frente ao parque estadual do rio vermelho. A travessia durou por volta de uma hora, porém a saída infelizmente não conseguimos registrar pois nossa go pro deu aquele famosos problema técnico... justamente os momentos de tensão não foram gravados... Mas mesmo assim conseguimos registrar bons momentos dessa velejada maravilhosa. A unique adventure in August September 2014, led by Skip Novak and Stephen Venables, which sailed from Stanley FI to South Georgia on board Pelagic Australis to attempt the winter climbing of peaks in South Georgia. After being frustrated by weather in the Salvesen Range the team eventually summited the three Trident peaks before returning after nearly 4 weeks to the Falklands. Avec une durée prévue de 8 a 12 jours en fonction des conditions météo. Vous nous suivrez au quotidien de cette traversée mouvementée. L'océan Indien n'a pas toujours été tendre avec nous, en nous gratifiant de grosses vagues, d'une mer croisée et hachée, bref des conditions pas très sympa. Mais nous y sommes parvenue. Un peu de technique avec les différents logiciels de navigation à bord, de la cuisine, des quarts de nuit. Et toujours de l'humour et de la gaité à bord. Passez une excellente semaine.
