Salve Elementos! Pretendíamos deixar Bertioga no dia 5 de Março de 2021, entretanto recebemos um aviso sobre o clima que me preocupou a ponto de ficarmos mais alguns dias em Bertioga. É curioso pra mim que eu amava sentar à janela, em silêncio para curtir as tempestades que passavam e eu torcia para que durassem muitos dias e hoje, morando no Quinto Elemento há 6 meses, passei a odiar chuvas de vento consideravelmente embora me beneficie da água que escorre pela capotaria. Voltando ao assunto... Comemos sashimi caiçara de Baiacu fresquinho com os amigos maravilhosos que fizemos no Indaiá. Xande e sua esposa Thalita são pessoas extraordinárias e acolhedoras que nos fizeram sentir em casa. Não posso deixar de lembrar da pequena Isa, criança que emana luz e felicidade. Os amigos desceram do interior para uma visita, que começou com o auxilio em um foco de incêndio em uma lancha fundeada ali bem próxima. O Marcinho foi quem conseguiu tempo na agenda maluca de quem vive na cidade e fez a travessia de Bertioga até Ilha Bela conosco, embora tenha dormido por quase o caminho todo. Sentiremos saudade deste lugar e, sobretudo, destas pessoas maravilhosas, mas temos que ir, encarar o sonho, os planos e torcer para sempre ter motivos para sentir saudade de onde passamos. #66 Alors que nous sommes presque prêts pour un départ avec notre bateau, il ne reste plus qu'à faire une sortie en ''mer'', comme ils appellent, pour s'assurer du bon fonctionnement des équipements à bord. C'est aussi l'occasion parfaite pour suivre une vieille tradition de marin: la coupure du Macoui, pour s'éviter le plus de malédictions en mer. Le tout se passant à merveille, nous en concluons que nous sommes fins prêts à partir. Nous avons expérimenté très peu de départs parfaits à ce jour, et comme de fait, notre moteur hors-bord s'est mis à avoir de gros problèmes de démarrage. C'est donc la course contre la montre pour arriver à réparer ce bris et à partir à temps pour notre fenêtre météo vers les Bahamas. La Coupure du Macoui: ''Vous avez acquis un bateau et vous souhaitez le rebaptiser ? N'oubliez pas au préalable de tuer le macoui, ce grand serpent marin rattaché à votre bateau et qui se confond avec son sillage. Chaque bateau a son macoui qui le protège. En rebaptisant un bateau, on lui rattache un nouveau macoui. Les deux divinités entrent alors en compétition et se battent, ce qui peut provoquer des accidents par la suite en mer. Donc avant de rebaptiser votre bateau, il faut tuer l'ancien macoui. Pour cela, partez au large avec un bateau ami, buvez quelques verres et versez dans la mer votre boisson alcoolisé favorite à l'arrière du bateau. Le but est de saoûler le macoui afin de l'affaiblir. Puis, le bateau de votre ami doit se rapprocher au maximum de votre propre bateau et tuer le serpent en coupant la vague par trois fois. Autre façon de faire : partir avec une embarcation et suivre la bateau à débaptiser en tirant trois fois un coup de feu dans le sillage, à chaque passage du bateau. Le bateau est ensuite rebaptisé en pronoçant son nouveau nom à voix haute et en reversant un peu d'alcool sur le macoui. We set off on a mission to sail from Poole on the U.K. south coast through the Solent to Hayling Island to get a solar arch fitted on our Najad 391 Sailing Yacht. The yard where the fabricators were situated required some interesting navigation to get there or our fin keel yacht as we had to navigate across the green on our charts! Once there we had to put the boat in a mud berth and seeing her sink down as the tide went out was emotional! Whilst in the Solent we also go to Southampton for an appointment and Iain turns the boat around on the dock using a technique we call “Spronging”. It’s also a really useful technique for leaving a tight dock space. We also visit Newtown Creek in the Solent using a transit line to enter this beautiful but difficult to navigate anchorage and are greeted by seals as we explore this stunning place by dinghy. #sailinglife #sailing #navigation #boatwork
