Povo simples e amigo!! Bvs

We get pulled over AGAIN as we make our way into our Marina for lockdown. We're pretty sure having a red boat didn't help us any. And we had quite a far fetched (but true) story to tell. Oh, the DRAMA... This video was shot last year and covers the Level-4 Lockdown of April and May in New Zealand. It's been interesting for us to look back at those confusing times. In fairness to the Officers involved, they were just following the latest guidance, and unfortunately for us, the rules kept changing. We wish we had been in the Bay of Islands when lockdown began, and in hindsight, we probably should have just stayed on Great Barrier Island, but hindsight is always 20/20. In reality, we made the best decisions we could at the time and never expected to have so many problems sailing north... We are catching up on our videos and each video covers roughly one month. Thanks for watching! Ten years ago B.K. ("before kids"), we sailed a Lagoon 380 named "Honeymoon" halfway around the world to Sydney, Australia. Along the way we shared our experiences via YouTube and, by happenstance, created one of the first "sailing channels." We also realized what an incredible experience we were having and that someday we wanted to do it again, only this time with kids. OUR ROUTE has taken us from the Boston/Cape Cod area of the United States down to the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal. We have dealt with massive repairs in the South Pacific, the Coronavirus lock down in New Zealand, a Category 5 Cyclone in Fiji, and now we are cruising in Covid Free Australia. They immediately started working on our boat while we were still on the boatlift. They disassembled the sail drive and took it to the workshop to clean and inspect it. Once the parts were cleaned we could clearly see a vertical line running along the length of the drive shaft, so that’s what was causing the oil and water to mix. Yanmar was going to send us two new drive shafts. So we would be staying here for a few more days. Since we would be there for a while it was time to give the children the promised Halloween party. Liam and Sky made some scary decorations and we went grocery shopping for the necessary supplies for their scary menu. This was even more challenging this time because everything had to get up the ladder to get it on board. But the Halloween party was a lot of fun and afterwards, we watched the movie ‘A nightmare before Christmas’ before going to bed. While we were out of the water we inspected the bottom and discovered that our starboard rudder was loose so this had to get repaired as well. We had also noticed that our main halyard was chafed at the top and needed to be fixed. That meant that someone had to go up the mast to loosen the halyard on the top. It was a bit scary but I did it. I took me a long time to get the pin out because I didn’t have the correct tools but I refused to go down again without succeeding in this task. We had to cut off a piece of the line to make a new splice. And since we had never done this before we first practised on two other lines, which worked well. Splicing the main halyard was a lot more difficult tough, probabely because this line had become rigid with use. It took some brute force, a hammer and a winch but we made it work. We also managed to clean the hulls and do some other boat works in between the rain showers. Like finally putting the NOHMA stickers up. Sven did a great job, I love the result!! We quickly got used to life on the boatyard. Allthough it did have its disadvantages. We could not use any water on board during the day because whoever walked under the boat would get a shower. And we also couldn’t use our toilets for such a long time. Luckily Sopromar had new, clean toilet and bathroom facilities. The noise on the boatyard during the day wasn’t that pleasant either but at least we had some rest during the weekends. And we were happy that the centre of Lagos was within walking distance and the beach was just next to the boatyard where we could go to relax when the weather was nice. Overall we were very happy during our stay at Sopromar. The facilities are great and the staff is very skilled. Sopromar has a huge chandelier shop. The staff is very friendly and they have the knowledge to help you with anything you might need. The kids had a lot of fun testing the different anchors. They concluded that we had the perfect anchor. Another thing we discovered was that our AIS wasn’t working. That meant that we had sailed all the way here without knowing we didn’t have any AIS. Lagoon sent us a new AIS transponder that Sven installed and programmed. The boat yard parrots are a real hit, they were very entertaining, the kids could stand there looking at them for hours. When the new drive shafts arrived after 2 weeks they were immediately inspected and installed. The final thing they had to do now was replace the teflon rudder glider and then we were ready to go back in the water. Luckily that went a lot smoother than the haul out. It was great to be back in the water!! Next week we’ll sail to Vilamoura for some more boat works. They are going to take off our mast! Make sure you don’t miss it by SUBSCRIBING to our channel. Sharing some memories of our three days in Dubrovnik, Croatia. After wintering our catamaran in Porto Montenegro, Awen was happy to stretch her legs and we were excited to visit King’s Landing as we start the sailing season. We were surprised to have the city almost entirely to ourselves as the world sorts out Summer ‘21. Social distancing wasn’t a problem at all! If only photos and videos could capture the delightful fragrance of this enchanted town. Hope you enjoy our little slideshow capturing some of the visual highlights :-) and Stephane taking not one, but two for the team, when given homemade orange Rakia 'on the house.' Collin from Denver talks about the Tiwal 3. 00:00 Introduction 00:11 Which Tiwal model do you have? 00:24 Where do you sail? 00:40 Single-handed or double-handed? 01:12 Which characteristics did surprise you? 01:34 What's your best memory with your Tiwal? 02:28 Where would you dream to sail your Tiwal? -------------------------- ** The Tiwal 3 Sailboat ** The Tiwal 3 inflatable sailing dinghy comes in two bags that are easily transportable by car, boat and even by plane. This small inflatable sailboat is easily assembled in 20 minutes without any tools. Easy to handle, its sailing qualities will give you a thrilling experience. Very responsive, stable, and comfortable in light winds, the Tiwal 3 is dynamic in more challenging conditions. Whether you’re sailing solo or double-handed, it is perfect for your adventures at sea or on a lake! Boat of the Year Award | Best Innovation | by Sailing World U.S.A. "The thing was a blast. I couldn't believe how well it sailed. You could have some serious fun with this, especially in big breeze." -------------------------- ** The Tiwal story ** * The Birth of Tiwal * As a girl, the first time our founder Marion Excoffon was told, “No!” by her father when she asked to use the family boat, her life as an inventor began. It was then she started dreaming of building her own craft, an ambitious feat that would come true years later. On the road to creating an innovative high-speed vessel for everyone from kids and first timers to expert sailors who want to test limits, there were a number of prototypes, failures, challenges and headaches. But, if there’s one thing Marion’s known for, it’s her sailor’s grit! * Combining Fun & Technology * The award winning Tiwal concept is easy assembly and storage - maximum fun and performance for watersports and activities. A Tiwal isn’t your average dinghy! Our design is the result of tons of coordination, talent, and technological savvy. * A Growing Global Community * For our community of Tiwal skippers (more than 2,500 worldwide!) all this innovative design means their focus is fixed on the pleasures of watersports and having tons of fun on a responsive sailing craft. With excellent upwind and downwind abilities combined with high-speeds, Tiwals are a part of both fun and professional performance. The Tiwal 3 received the Boat of the Year (Best innovation) Award 2014 from Sailing World in the USA and the Red Dot Award, with recognitions, accolades, and smiling faces continuing to join together on the waves worldwide.

Aldri vært her før, men kommer garantert tilbake. Dårlig bildekvalitet da jeg bare hadde en kjip telefon tilgjengelig denne gangen. www.seilerogrydder.wordpress.com

True Kit Unboxing When we ordered our new Jeanneau 440 sailboat we knew we would need a dinghy. We didn’t want to ruin the lines of the new boat with davits. Looking for something that was totally inflatable so it could be stored in a locker and lightweight enough to be hoisted on the foredeck if needed. True Kit’s discovery https://truekit.nz/products/true-kit-discovery was exactly what we were looking for. In addition to meeting our storage requirements it has an open bow that make entry and exits from the water easy. Snorkeling and beach excursions will be much easier than with a standard RIB inflatable. This episode we show how well the True Kit is packed for its journey halfway around the planet. In later episodes we will make some modifications to the boat. Be sure to like and subscribe, thanks for watching. Be sure and check out https://www.railblaza.com/ for more cool accessories. They have also been easy to work with and will be featured on a future episode.

Well, it all starts off with a couple of boats directly in front of us upstream collecting one another. What do we do? There is no one on board and it's getting dark. Where in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast of Australia, anchored in "the pond", a crowded anchorage renowned for unattended and dragging vessels, commonly referred to as the "bowling alley". We luckily avoid a couple of boats on top of each other, it was only just a sleepless night. We enjoy the last rays of sun, skating ashore before another huge downpour hits, which leaves us with flat batteries and unable to start our engine. We just keep our fingers crossed that there is no more dragging boats tonight, as we currently have no way of escape. Thinking of getting some camera gear? This is what we use and would highly recommend these products. If you purchase through these links we will get a small commission which really helps us to keep creating more content like this.
