Amigos da vela são pessoas que realmente têm um bom coração assim com este grande amigo que fizemos a pouco tempo. Claudião mora em um veleiro em Florianópolis na praia de Santo Antonio de Lisboa no centro norte da ilha. Neste episódio agente mostra como foi a tentativa de levar o veleiro Liberdade (Brasília 32 construído em 1981) de santo Antonio de Lisboa para a praia da Cahcoeira do Bom Jesus pouco mais ao norte da ilha. O motor de início ja não pegou mas como o vento estava a nosso favor e a previsão era de se manter assim por mais algumas horas, decidimos ir só na vela. Por alguns minutos foi uma boa velejada mas o vento foi diminuindo até parar completamente, logo abortamos a missão e retornamos para o ponto de origem rebocados pelo companheiro de navegada Leandro do veleiro Ogro, chegando na poita o vento entrou novamente mas desta vez ele vinha de uma direção não favorável. Returning to life on anchor, sailing back out to the tropical islands. You can help support this small production here on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/sailingnakama After a week in the marina restocking Nakama's cupboards with food, installing an internet booster, getting a new dinghy and doing mountain loads of washing we are finally heading back out to live on anchor at the tropical islands that lay off the Australian coast, in particular, Great Keppel Island. We wake to a glass off and head around to the south side of the island and jump into the dinghy to go for a snorkel. Although we have just had the outboard serviced we break down in strong currents and we madly row our way back to Nakama, we realise we have no water and we are making extremely bad progress, we look around to see that we are basically the only boat around. Once we finally make it back to the boat we realise we should really be prepared for that to happen again and invest in a handheld VHF radio. Anyway, we fix the outboard and head back out for a snorkel, Slim spears a fish and we decide to head around to the North side of the island to escape a southerly that's on its way. When we think the day couldn't get any more chaotic we run aground and really wedge Nakama's keel into a sandbank, the biggest kiss of the bottom we have had. As we bang and crash towards the anchorage we finish off our slightly chaotic and slightly relaxing day off by cooking dinner on the fire. We spend some time anchored at Llanddwyn island on the south west corner of Anglesey in north Wales. It is one of my favourite locations to anchor in Wales.
