We jumped on a 1991 Corsair F-27 Trimaran that "Needs some TLC." These boats are amazing in so many ways. They're extremely safe, comfortable, and fast performance cruising vessels. These boats will easily do double digit average speeds, and also sail faster than the wind. They're also extremely versatile with the ability for the amas to fold and the whole boat to go on a trailer. Obviously, the downside is a small interior living space and little payload. Every boat is a compromise. We hope to take her to the Bahamas as soon as we can! We plan on restoring this boat and sailing her as much as possible during the rest of the gap between now and getting our custom designed, next, next boat next year hopefully. The Eye or Brummel splice on single braid rope is one of the most useful skills you can add to your rigging tool kit. When you know the length rope and both end of the rope are free it is simple and easy to do. See the following demonstration for when both end are free. https://youtu.be/q_hT726J0g8 When one end is fixed, you are splicing a really long length of rope or if you are simply working off a spool of rope you need to modify your approach to create the eye splice. The Brummel or Eye splice with one end fixed can be as simple as the version where the ends are not fixed if you follow the three easy steps in this video demonstration. Step 1, measure out your eye size and create two wholes in the rope. Step 2, create two loops in the eyes created in step 1. Step 3, pull the first loop through the second before burying the tail. This version of the eye splice allows you to have eyes at both ends of any length of rope fastening one end to a fixed point as needed. On découvre la ville colorée de Willemstad avec nos amis, on s’entraîne sur le pont, on explore le célèbre Tugboat sous l’eau, les enfants trouvent le fort Bekenburg, on s’amuse à la plage, on essaie un nouveau fruit et on fête l’anniversaire de Loik, 7 ans, entourés de mille et un cactus. La routine quoi !! *Épisode filmé entre le 8 et le 12 août 2021 Recette du pain aux bananes: Ingrédients: 1 1/2 tasse de farine 1 tasse de flocons d'avoine 1/2 tasse de sucre 2 c. à thé de poudre à pâte 1 c. à thé de soda à pâte 1 oeuf 3/4 de lait de soya (ou autre) 1/3 tasse d'huile de coco 1/2 c. à thé d'extrait de vanille 1 tasse de bananes écrasées (environ 2-3 bananes) Étapes: 1. Préchauffer le four à 400 F (200 C) 2. Combiner la farine, les flocons d'avoines, le sucre, la poudre à pâte et le soda. 3. Dans un grand bol, battre l'oeuf avec le lait, l'huile et la vanille. 4. Ajouter les bananes et bien mélanger. 5. Ajouter le mélange de farine et brasser juste assez pour bien combiner les ingrédients. 6. Cuire au fou de 18 à 20 minutes. The new owners has almost bought the boat so it must be antifouled and launched in a very short time. Also the whole boat must be emptied of my private things. I got a few days with good weather so it is possible to paint the bottom in sunny and almost windless weather. The launch day was however a pretty windy day, but everything went well despite strong winds.
