We remove the old boot stripe and Travis is removing the old anti-foul or bottom paint by sanding down the hull. We also paint our Rocna anchor and remark our anchor chain. In this Sailing Wind Therapy video we explore Great Guana Cay and Little Farmers Cay in the Exuma Island chain of the Bahamas from our Leopard 45 sailing catamaran. We find a scary cave that Jeff snorkels in, conquering his fear of caves and bats and bears and trolls. We spend time at Little Farmers Cay where we visit and find Mahalia from J.R. the woodcarver. Highlights of what happened globally in the sport of Sailing in the last 7 days. Like, Subscribe Hit Bell for our upload alerts. We started with Young Azzura,  just one of the teams interested in being in the 40 foot foilers scheduled to be in the next America's Cup Regattas. Last Monday saw the delayed start of the exciting Mini Transat Euro-Chef race.  90, solo sailors battled the Bay of Biscay and headed out to a roaring,  erupting volcano in La Palma. That was just Leg One of the race. The 52 SUPER SERIES were afforded a warm welcome back to Mahon and to Menorca,  the world's leading grand prix monohull circuit visiting for the fourth time.  The local and island authorities recognise the positive profile the circuit generates,  delivering positive,  immediately understood messages about sport,  tourism and sustainability on the beautiful island. The final day of the 2021 Rolex Big Boat Series,  hosted by St.  Francis Yacht Club,  featured long courses for all eight divisions,  sending boats into every corner of San Francisco Bay.  Clear skies,  a steady westerly and the vagaries of current provided plenty of opportunities to mix things up as sailors vied for podium positions,  perpetual trophies and—for three classes—Rolex Submariner Date watches. This past weekend on the Severn the battle for AYC's 3-2-1 Invitational was all on.  Seventy-two races were scored to determine the overall winner as eight teams from seven clubs competed.  Here is how is all shook out: Mateusz Kusznierewicz,  Przemysław Gacek,  Simon Fry) secured the 2021 5.5 Metre French Open at the Régates Royales on Friday in Cannes to win from Momo (SUI 229, Dieter Schön,  Markus Wieser,  Thomas Auracher) and Ali-Baba (BAH 23, Craig Symonette,  Flavio Marazzi,  William Alloway). Throughout the 10 race series the Polish team barely put a foot wrong,  but when they did,  they managed to minimise losses and stay consistent,  winning four races in the 14 boat fleet The final day of the Land Union September Regatta,  hosted by the Royal Southern Yacht Club,  was blessed with better wind than forecast,  producing a grand finale for the Royal Southern Summer Series.  Congratulations to all eight class winners and especially Glyn Locke’s Toucan (RTYC),  which is the 2021 HP30 Class National Championship. The Mantis-Kagialis team defeated Thodoris Tsoulfa with a score of 3-0. Olympic Team Panagiotis Mantis and Pavlos Kagialis,  along with Giannis Mitakis and Giannis Orphanos,  managed to win 3 consecutive duels in the Grand Final against the 2019 ER-LAC champions of Thodoris Tsoulfa,  and leave no room for overthrow.  The prevailing didn't come as easily as the final score of 3-0 as all 3 rails were literally judged on point.

In deze aflevering bezoeken we Nieuwpoort in België en zeilen dan door naar Duinkerke, de eerste Franse haven op deze reis. Na Duinkerke varen we -vanwege gebrek aan wind- een nacht door op de motor naar Dieppe. We slapen even bij en dan verkennen we de stad. Dieppe is een prima plaats om even de rond te struinen en de was te doen. Jarenlang heb ik ervan gedroomd om zeilend te gaan waar de wind me brengt. In 2020 was het dan eindelijk zover en heb ik samen met Felia een prachtige reis gemaakt naar Scandinavië en de Baltische staten. Onze Eva, een Atlantic 43 uit 2007, is een aluminium zeiljacht met hefkiel en gebouwd en uitgerust voor reizen naar plaatsen die net achter de horizon liggen. Vanaf 2021 vaar ik met wisselende bemanning zuidwaarts. Ik vind het leuk om onze avonturen met jullie te delen. Unheimliche Wettererscheinung am 29.9.2021 über Kiel

Départ de Saint Vaast la Hougue, avec une navigation un peu sportive (avis de coup de vent) mais on arrive à Courseulles (à 21h) où nous sommes bien accueillis par la personne qui manoeuvre la porte du port. Il nous amènera aussi les jetons pour la douche (ouf, on en avait bien besoin!!!!). Nous restons 2 jours à Courseulles puis départ pour Dives. La navigation est beaucoup plus calme. Les filles profitent pour aller à l'accrobranche de Cabourg et on fini la journée au champ de course🏇. Le lendemain on retrouve Mickaël (de Dives) qui nous avait aidé à nous amarrer à Saint Vaast la Houge. On terminera par un super apéro en fin de journée 🍹. Après 3 jours à Dives c'est le retour au Havre . On profite que les grands parents viennent chercher les filles pour se faire une dernière nav' à deux avant de rentrer. We take a couple of days out and visit Denmark and Frederik to see how he's getting on with his plywood Hogfish boat build. This is the story of the building of a Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat.
