** NOW SOLD ** Sharona is a 2006 Bavaria 37 Cruiser. From the J&J design table, Sharona has been exceptionally well specified and set up to cruise our coastlines in safety and comfort. She is a two-cabin layout with Light Mahogany joinery, a spacious V-Berth forward with plenty of storage and hanging space and a double owners cabin aft. Both cabins are fitted with custom made inner spring mattresses for that extra level of comfort. There is a 2500-Watt inverter with remote on/off actuation, TV with Omni directional antennae, 400 Watt Maxeon 111 solar which is Bimini mounted and comes with a Victron 100/30 controller to allow fully autonomous operation including full time refrigeration. She has an excellent sail wardrobe which include a tri-radial fully battened main, a tri-radial #2 Genoa – both new in 2019, an asymmetrical tri-radial spinnaker as well as a storm jib and back up Dacron main and Genoa. There is complete array of electronics including a Raymarine Touch Screen plotter in the cockpit, Raymarine wind, speed and depth, and Raymarine Evo-200 Auto-pilot control with Lewmar integrated servo actuator with rudder feed-back. I went on another cruise! Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas. I chose a balcony stateroom - cabin number 12654 on deck 12. Overall, an excellent cabin. Well designed, with plenty of storage and a nice open feel. Let down a little by one or two of the consumables provided by Royal Caribbean. A word on the toilet roll - I mentioned this as being a shortcoming in a previous video and I'm less than enthusiastic about it in this video... Someone commented on a previous video that the paper may need to be so scrawny because of the needs of the ship's plumbing system. That was an excellent point, although I have 2 responses - you use twice as much as it is so thin, so the plumbing system is going to be processing the same amount as if you had "proper" paper, and the ship is only a few years old and older ships I've been on seem able to cope with higher quality paper... But enough about loo rolls!!! Enjoy the video! No sailing in this video but plenty of flowers and beautiful mountain views. But we do manage to put a little boatwork in because we get our gear fixed. We are a middle aged couple that has left our hectic business lives to go sailing with our boat Fridá af Wisby and our cat Litza. Our goal is not to go to a specific place but to reach a state of mind where we can really enjoy life. Fridá af Wisby is a Wauquiez 47 pilot saloon that we Gitte and Anders bought in UK in 2019 and that we have sailed to Gotland and in season 1 2020 we sail in the Baltic Sea. During season 2 We sailded south to Dieppe Normandy France. After a winter in France in Season 3 we started to sail the Atlantic coast of Europe to Xufre in Spain where we lifted the boat over the summer while we where back in Gotland to work at our hostel we got there. Season 4 got a short sailing season where we only sailed to Lagos on the Algarve coast of Portugal where we hauled out once again this time to go throug a long list of boatwork and to build a solar arch to make the boat more self-suficient with electricity. After 6 months in Lagos we kicked-off season 5 with real bluewater sailing first to the northerly Atlantic island Porto Santo and Madeira and then further out to the Azores that lays in the middle of the Atlantic ocean before turning back towards the mainland and south coast of Portugal again.

We sail our first 'big crossing' from Cyprus to Turkey and we face a difficult decision on how to deal with our daughter's sickness.. All in all another few exciting days in our life on our 14 year old Sailing Catamaran Roxy. Our boat is a Lagoon 420 sailing catamaran of 2008. In the last episode you saw us arriving in Acapulco, while we were there we discovered it has a reputation for being the second deadliest city in the world. A pretty huge claim, however we have only ever felt safe in our travels through Mexico. We zip around to get propane, groceries and diesel and watch the city buzz along from our quiet anchorage in La Roqueta. As we continue our way down the coast of Mexico there are some tough decisions to make about Puerto Escondido and whether we can anchor and surf or not. A birthday at Puerto Angel and seeing the local fishing pangas race up the steep beach were definitely highlights as well as seeing hundreds of mobula rays flipping and flying out of the water as they take the current North and daily dolphin visits. We arrive in Huatulco and prepare to leave Mexico and head to Costa Rica. Really beautiful with just a few shops and a bakery. We always love a visit to the local bakery.  During our journey we talked about John's question, What are the facilities on the Thames like? We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.
