Day 2 of our J109 delivery around Ireland got off to and early start before sunrise in the hope we could make up for the lost time on day 1 due to the sea fog. After getting guided out of Fenit Marina by the fishing boats under darkness we had a great days motor sailing in light westerly breeze down the west coast to Portmagee in County Kerry. The the wind light and from the wrong direction to get maximum speed we did not cover enough ground in the first 1/2 of the day to safely make the trip to Clear Island in daylight. This lead to an early but very rewarding stop over in the beautiful town of Portmagee. As a massive Star Wars fan it was the ultimate surprise to put pints in a pub a Jedi master frequented. The excitement only build further when we planned the route for Day 3 which would take us past Great Skellig Island which was Lukes home for many years. Portmagee Marina was a fantastic little marina and the Moorings Pub and restaurant was a great place to get a feed prior to the next two legs where the eating options would not be as good.

In questo video vi mostro quella che per me è la manovra di recupero uomo in mare più efficace di tutte, è certamente la manovra più semplice da eseguire la cosidetta "quick stop", caldeggiata dall' ORC (Ocean Racing Club) e ora dall'ISAF, e anche dal RYA . Rispetto a quella della "poggiata decisa" ha il vantaggio di far restare la barca nelle immediate vicinanze del naufrago ed è fattibile in tutte le andature (a vele bianche) sotto spi o gennaker richiede prima l'ammainata. Ovviamente come TUTTO quello che riguarda la vela ci sono scuole di pensiero differenti, ma io sono perfettamente d'accordo con il comandante giancarlo basile, di cui sotto vi lascio un stralicio del suo esaustivo intervento sull'argomento. "Ho più volte sperimentato questa manovra (consigliata dall'ISAF) ed ho scritto vari articoli in proposito su Bolina. In ogni caso tutto è perfettibile, sperimentare nuove manovre è sempre bene, l'importante è non ignorare il problema come fa la stragrande maggioranza dei velisti di oggi, e non prendere per buona la manovra richiesta dagli esaminatori quando si fa la prova pratica per la patente nautica: quella è la peggiore possibile!" Lezioni di Vela - Sottocoperta - Gli Interni della Barca a Vela - Episodio 01. Come sono fatti gli interni di una barca a vela da crociera moderna? Scopriamolo insieme! Video corso teorico per imparare ad andare in barca a vela Nel primo episodio di "Scuola di VELA" i nostri istruttori Alberto Cossu e Jules Mazars, responsabile di Dufour Yacht, illustrano sono strutturati gli interni di una barca a vela da crociera. Le barche a vela sono tutte diverse, ma molti degli elementi illustrati sono comuni e simili in tutte le barche. Per chi sale a bordo per la prima volta, é importante conoscere la nomenclatura e capire perché alcune attrezzature sono posizionate in un certo modo. Le barche a a vela crociera sono organizzate per ottimizzare gli spazi abitabili, di stivaggio, e sono strutturati per garantire il comfort e la sicurezza anche durante la navigazione con onda e barca sbandata. Suddivisione degli spazi sottocoperta La parte interna della barca è chiamata sottocoperta, vi si accede dal tambuccio e dalla scaletta, tenendosi ai tientibene. Gli spazi sono divisi in aree, a volte divise da vere proprie porte, o separati solo logicamente da una tenda o un divisore. In questo video vedremo un esempio e capiremo cosa sono: La dinette è l'area comune in cui si trovano i divanetti, il tavolo centrale, la cucina basculante montata su dei perni, e il frigorifero o la ghiacciaia. In tutta la barca gli spigoli degli arredi sono smussati per non farsi male, e ci sono sempre dei sostegni (detti appunto, tientibene) a cui aggrapparsi. Gli stipetti e i gavoni sono gli equivalenti di armadietti e cassepanche, sulle barche sono tutti chiudibili con serratura, o hanno chiusura a gravità, in modo che anche a barca sbandata, non si aprino accidentalmente riversando il carico. Il vano motore è solitamente alloggiato sotto le scalette di discesa, e deve sempre esser accessibile per le verifiche prima di salpare. Il tavolo da carteggio è un tavolino separato con ribaltina solitamente dedicato allo skipper, in cui si tengono le carte nautiche e altro materiale di sicurezza di uso frequente (come bussola, binocoli, telefono cellulare, diario di bordo, portolano...). Si chiama tavolo da carteggio perché prima dell'avvento del GPS era dedicato esclusivamente alla consultazione delle carte nautiche, ed era di dimensioni più generose. Oggi, essendo usato meno di frequente, è spesso a scomparsa, o opzionale. La sentina ospita cantinetta Spesso sotto il pagliolato che è il pavimento della dinette, trovano spazio dei portabottiglia o portamateriali. E' bene posizionare i carichi più pesanti e non deperibili, il più in basso possibile. Il bagno (o i bagni, le moderne barche ne hanno più di uno) Le cuccette per l'equipaggio e la cabina armatoriale che semplicemente è la cabina più grande, chiamata cosi perché spesso viene riservata all'armatore. Gli lo stivaggio negli spazi condivisi In barca gli spazi sono spesso condivisi, e per quanto sia grande la barca a vela, la gestoine dello spazio è critica. Lo skipper si occuperà di illustrare tutti gli spazi disponibili e organizzare lo stivaggio del bagaglio, dei viveri, del materiale della cucina, delle dotazioni di sicurezza insieme al proprio dell'equipaggio. Tutto l'equipaggio deve sapere dove si trovano gli oggetti fondamentali, e quali aree negli stipetti (armadi) e gavoni sono comuni, e quali privati, e a cosa sono adibiti. (5 노트 정도) 이것도 12피트 알루미늄 보트에 성인 1인이 평수에서 측정한 값입니다. Vorbereitung zum Einbau der neuen Vetus Luken am Vorschiff Unser Segelboot Squib, ein Catalac 9M, ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Verkleidung hängt teilweise von der Decke, die Farbe blättert ab, die Elektrik auf dem Stand des vorigen Jahrtausends,..... Ein Refit steht an. Doch Broterwerb und Verpflichtungen lassen es nicht zu, monatelang in Griechenland am Boot zu arbeiten. Da wird schon 2018 die Idee geboren Squib nach Wien zu bringen, wo man jederzeit Zugang hat, der Einkauf von Material in der Muttersprache abgewickelt werden kann und alles andere seinen gewohnten Verlauf nimmt. 2021 war es dann endlich soweit, mit zwei generalüberholten Motoren und einem neuen Geräteträger starteten wir Anfang Juli Richtung Südfrankreich.Leider hatten wir für die gesamte Reise nur zwei Monate Zeit, deswegen hieß es die meiste Zeit Strecke machen. Doch manchmal nahmen wir uns die Zeit zu verweilen, uns Orte näher anzuschauen. Hier zur Playlist dieser für ein Segelboot außergewöhnlichen Reise quer durchs Mittelmeer und über die europäischen Binnenwasserstraßen. Am vierten September kamen wir in Wien an, 980 Seemeilen und 2120 km über die europäischen Wasserstraßen lagen hinter uns. Seitdem liegt Squib in der Wiener Kuchelau, und der Refit hat bereits begonnen. My video's are quite ocndensed at the moment and it's because I am spending every minute of my time on Lulu the Lugger learning something new. In this video i'm probably reaching in the best wind i've had so far on Lulu and it makes for quite an exhilarating sail. I definitely learnt a lot about the boat today. There's a few jobs to do before weighing anchor and then we quickly find some good wind in which we have to heave-to in to get a few things sorted on the boat. She takes it in her stride and never once felt like capsizing. Averaging about 5.8 mph., we get home sooner than expected so there's time for some circuits, beam raching in a bumpy lake to test out how she feels in these conditions for the first time. You can see how everything just gets better every time I try it in on this sail. Segeln Ostsee. Der Segler kennt meist nur drei Windarten....zu viel, zu wenig oder gegenan. Wir hatten mal wieder von allem etwas. Aber die Fahrt von Kerteminde an der Nordküste Fünens entlang bis nach Middelfart war sehr abwechslungsreich. Und im Hafen konnten wir sogar das die Kathena Nui, das Boot des Weltumseglers Wilfried Erdmann bestaunen. Viel Spaß beim Schauen!
