Notre coup de cœur: l'île de la Gomera. On y est arrivés pour une semaine pour Noël, on y est restés plus d'un mois et on y reviendra! Île loin du tourisme de masse avec son port idéalement placé avec sa plage à côté et son village, ses paysages époustouflants ouverts à de très nombreuses randonnées. Le Silbo à base de sifflements: le "langage" de cette île encore appris à l'école, (la chanson au milieu de la vidéo y fait référence). Des paysages volcaniques abrupts et divers, des surprises comme ce petit château abandonné: Castello del Mare....

We finally get slide the prop shaft backing giving us enough space to remove the thrust coupler. Removal of the transmission was pretty straight foreword, We then find the bolts that have broken off in the crankshaft! SO we have to lift the engine to remove the bellhousing get the flywheel out of the way and back the bolts out so they can be re-tapped. The fun and frustration has just begun like share and subscribe. Update: I am currently posting this video while in Santa Marta Colombia. We have sailed thousands of miles since this was recorded.

It was a rough crossing but we made it to The Bahamas. We checked in at Bimini. There were some heavy winds coming so we stayed at the Blue Water Marina. We watched a SpaceX Rocket launch from the beach, toured The Dolphin House, and prepared for the next sail. It is a cool town but really just the first taste of The Bahamas. Much more to come.

Our last full day of sailing school - after running through some docking maneuvers and steering backwards, our instructor gave us the reins. Out at sea the weather was picture perfect! Kent reached 8 Knots but that wasn't even the fastest. One of us clocked at 8.2 Knots. We also did crew overboard drills and heaved to.
