During 3 consumer shows in 2023 we offered a 7 night trip onboard Blue Horizon Liveaboard in the Red Sea. This video shows the draw and winner announcement.

Being on a schedule can be dangerous, especially for sailors as you may set sails, when the weather and sea state is not safe. We had a deadline to reach Plymouth, Britain’s ocean city, within the next two weeks. Looking at the weather the conditions were F3-5 with slight to moderate seas, no issue for our Swan 47 and it’s adventurous crew . The problem! The wind was going to be NE or E for the next 10-12 days .. which meant close reaching all the way to UK . We didn’t have time to wait for another weather window, so off we went. We spend the next two week close reaching into easterly and NE winds, reefing and shaking reef as needed . We went so far north that we were only 50 nm from the fastnet rock and Ireland with its lovely pubs - it was hard to tack away from that ! In the early morning of day 14, we spotted the iconic lighthouse on Bishop Rock , the crew was cheered up by the landfall at Isles of Scilly . Three days of tricky and tactical racing. Three days of very different conditions and 26 Cape 31s, all vying to be national champion. Held in the open waters of Christchurch Bay just to the west of the Isle of Wight and hosted by the Royal Lymington Yacht Club this was Round 2 of the UK Cape 31 season. This, was the Big Gig in the Bay.

Discussion of the camera setup I use for creating my sailing videos.

We decided to head towards the west of Union Island to spend a day in Chatham Bay. After a great few hours of sailing we arrived. It was BEAUTIFUL! We never get tired of the pretty blue water and the views of the Caribbean. The bay is located towards the lower west side of the island. There are plenty of bars and restaurants there so it's a great place to visit and relax looking at beautiful ocean view. After we arrived we spent a lot of time in the water. The kids had fun sailing on the Tiwal sailboat and we also had a lot of fun with the Seabob. Our day was filled with excitement. We got some incredible drone footage of the bay too! To spend the rest of the evening and to have dinner we went to a restaurant called Sunset Cove. They had BBQ and great food. The beach was very nice and super relaxing. After ending the day with a beautiful sunset, we got up early next morning and started to head north to visit St. Vincent main island once again. Find out what we did over there in the next episode! Apres avoir ramené le voilier d'Arcachon par la voile sans moteur car cassé… Apres démontage et diagnostique, achat d'un bas moteur car la bielle était cassé. Apres réassemblage de tout ca le moteur reprend vie :) Pacenza a de nouveau son cœur qui bat et reprend ses aventures :)

Comme explique dans la vidéo le teck en très mauvaise sante je décidé de le poncer et de lui refaire ses joints. une saturation du bois a 50/50 essence de térébenthine et huile de lin chauffer entre 50 et 70 avant application.

Its a lovely warm winter's day again, so back at the boatyard to do some more fibreglassing. We also experience the funny tide here at Fiddlers Ferry. It rushes in over the course of about 1-1.5 hours and then ebbs out slowly for the next 10 hours. On a spring tide you often see a bow wave coming in on the tide.
