The scary story of our Dinghy Accident while Sailing in Turkey. A crazy gust of wind blew the dinghy upside down. We luckily quickly escaped from underneath, but our new outboard engine got completely submerged in seawater... Will we be able to rescue it? All in this episode of the Dutch Sailing Family. Pour une navigation au large de Malo les Bains face à la plus belle plage du Nord. Vous aidez à la manœuvre pour quitter les pontons du port de plaisance du Grand Large Dunkerque. Après l'appareillage et l'établissement de la grand voile nous ferons cap vers la mer du Nord. Dans le chenal il n'est pas rare de croiser l'activité portuaire du troisième port de France. Remorqueurs, cargos, pilotines et voiliers de plaisance nous accompagnerons certainement. Puis la mer du Nord entre bancs de sable et dunes de Flandre. Du vent et des sensations. Puis retour Cette navigation en voilier est d'une durée d'environ deux heures. De retour au port de plaisance de Dunkerque Grand Large un repas complet et délicieux vous attend à bord pour un nouveau moment à partager avec vos amis ou vos collègues. La météo n'étant pas propice à la navigation, nous sommes partis durant 3 jours nous perdre sur les petites routes de la très belle région située entre Fès et Tanger, où une nature verdoyante en ce printemps nous en a mis plein la vue. Fès et Chefchaouen sont des incontournables d'un point de vue culturel et nous n'avons pas été déçus. Mais ce qui reste encore le plus magique, c'est de faire une rencontre au hasard d'une petite route : nous prenons un monsieur en stop pour une dizaine de minutes et nous voilà invités chez lui, en plein ramadan, reçus comme des rois par toute la famille. Abdelilah est fier de nous montrer sa maison, de nous parler de ses enfants et de l'école du village pour laquelle il fait partie de l'association des pères et des mères. Ils ont une belle infrastructure scolaire mais ils manquent de matériel didactique. De part mon métier d'institutrice, je suis particulièrement touchée par ce constat et nous échangeons nos coordonnées dans l'espoir peut-être de leur faire parvenir quelques cartons de matériel comme des livres de lecture en français. Actuellement, nous sommes toujours en contact via WhatsApp. Nous avons aussi apprécié les riads ; ces maisons traditionnelles typiquement marocaines, nichées au cœur des médinas et transformées pour la plupart en maison d'hôtes. Les nuits y sont magiques, particulièrement calmes, l'accueil fabuleux, pour un prix dérisoire … Le bon plan lors de vos étapes au Maroc. Entre Fès et Chefchaouen, nous contournons le lac du barrage El Wahda et croisons un nombre incalculable d'ânes ! Très utiles sur ces petites routes de campagnes et de montagnes, ils rendent bien des services à la population pour les trajets du quotidien, même jusqu'au cœur des médinas.   Touchés particulièrement par la gentillesse et l'accueil des marocains, nous gardons des images plein la tête de ce séjour au nord Maroc, aux paysages grandioses, très verts et où la nature semble encore si pure. Il est temps de reprendre Orion pour découvrir la suite de ce très beau pays. Si, sappiamo di essere un pochino in ritardo, ma fra navigazione e assenza di connettività, non ci è stato possibile fare diversamente. La meteo non è ancora stabile e cambiamo i programmi da un giorno con l'altro, ad un certo punto è sufficientemente OK per permetterci di lasciare Musket Cove, dove siamo rimasti per 3 settimane. Dobbiamo navigare verso il capo all'estremo Nord di Viti Levu - circa 90 miglia da Musket - percorrendo tutta la costa ovest dell'isola, solitamente priva di vento perchè coperta dalla montagna. Una volta giunti a destinazione, ci fermiamo in attesa delle giuste condizioni meteo per attraversare il canale fra Viti Levu e Vanua Levu - il Vatu-I-Ra Passage - notoriamente molto ventoso e con mare spesso agitato perchè gli alisei si incanalano e rinforzano. Facciamo una prima tappa tecnica dopo 60 miglia a Toba-Naloma, ci ancoriamo in mezzo al nulla protetti solo da un paio di reef, per arrivare poi il giorno successivo a Nananu-I-Thake, ancoraggio molto protetto e molto bello, estremità Nord Ovest di Viti Levu. Qui aspettiamo il passaggio di un paio di fronti, sotto il diluvio, preparando il pane e la pizza😊 Dobbiamo poi decidere se attraversare il canale direttamente, nella sua parte più stretta, oppure navigare verso sud e attraversare dalla parte più larga con una tappa intermedia in una delle isole del gruppo delle Lomaiviti.
