It was like getting hit by 1000 little bricks. we had been told 90 km of wind was going to hit us, we though we were ready. Leaving Dominica was a bit sad, but we had to lock in right away when a boat ahead of us told us that 50 knot winds were coming it turns out the gust that hit us was 67 knots and it was worse then we thought. Filming had to take a back seat and we had to hold everything down, it only lasted for a short time but it was nuts! Was als Aufbruch beginnt, wird schnell zur Frage: Sind wir wirklich bereit dafür? ⸻ 📍 Startpunkt & Plan Wir starten in Santa Maria Navarrese auf Sardinien. Nach über vier Wochen im Hafen sind wir endlich startklar. Kurz vor dem Ablegen kommen die Pakete an, auf die wir warten mussten: Ersatzteile, Technik – und verspätete Weihnachtsgeschenke für die Kinder. Ohne den neuen Motor für die Ankerwinsch hätten wir nicht ablegen können. In den kommenden Tagen soll sich das Wetter deutlich verschlechtern. Die Wettervorhersage zeigt, dass der Sturm im Südwesten Sardiniens weniger stark ausfallen soll.
