This is a super cool and comfortable day cruiser. There are 615 hours on the Volvo Penta 8.1Gxi 496ci 425hp duoprop engine package which has just had a recent service with us this spring and is running great. The interior is in great shape with snap out carpets, and a full canvas enclosure so you can be boating in all the weather. There’s a 4 speaker stereo with subwoofer, plus 2 tower speakers and a Bluetooth stereo. There’s a fridge freezer and sink above deck and a microwave below. Also comes with a BBQ which mounts on the swim platform. There is a good battery system with 2 x 6V house batteries which run an inverter, and 2 x 12V starting batteries for the motor. The head is a Vacuflush system which means there’s no pumping to flush the toilet and it uses very little water which increases your capacity in the tank. There’s a DVD / TV setup below deck, and the V berth is a nice size and in hardly used condition. Comes on the tandem axle trailer with electric over hydraulic brakes. Over the last few months our windlass (the bit of kit that lifts and drops the anchor ) has been getting slower and slower .... so in the video we strip the windlass to assess whats wrong ……… whilst the video might not be very exciting .... it will guide anyone who has a similar problem....... Whilst spares for this windlass are no longer available we managed to get some brushes that were just a big too big and got these machined down .....however this repair didn't work and we suspect that the issue is with the motor windings .....so break out the wallet and we purchased a new windlass. ► Although the TH33 was unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival back in September, sea trials weren’t available to be undertaken until this spring in Jupiter, Florida, and then in Cannes, which is where we headed to check out how Jeanneau’s smallest powercat performed at sea. ► Here’s our quick take on it before we share the full test report with you: powered by a pair of 300-HP Mercury V8s, the small catamaran is capable of exceeding 30 knots and it handles choppy seas very well. Sie sitzen hier seit 50 Tagen fest. In Cienfuegos scheint auf den ersten Blick alles beim Alten, doch abseits des Hafenviertels wird die Not sichtbar. Viele Kubaner können sich das Essen nicht mehr leisten. Wir verbringen viel Zeit mit Jordana und ihrer Familie, die wir vor zwei Jahren kennengelernt haben. Jordana kümmert sich um die Alten und Kranken in ihrer Nachbarschaft - und da wollen auch wir ein bisschen helfen.

Es ist nun Zeit Lanzarote zu verlassen. Eigentlich ist es noch etwas früh im Jahr, aber ein kleines Wetterfenster scheint sich zu öffnen, um nach Madeira zu segeln. Diese Richtung, von Lanzarote nach Madeira ist immer schwierig, da es nur selten wirklich gute Wetterbedingungen gibt. Der Wind bläst meist aus dem nördlichen Quadranten...
