But with 0 (zero) expirience that would be difficult to achieve... I took a Transport Canada course and received my first boat license... I watched tons of videos about boats and sailing on youtube and got myself registered with dozen boat related forums and groups on a facebook... In May 2020 I came across a facebook post. Sergey was looking for a crew to bring his boat to the Caribbean. I travelled 1300 km from Montreal to Halifax to join him on his boat. The trip was cancelled two months later for legitimate reasons.  Since I made my way to Nova Scotia I decided to discover this beatiful province before going back to Montreal ==================================== Ничего вам не продаю. Idag tutar vår stipendieturné till Påskbergsdammen för att fira eldsjälen som säger att "Det här med att vara ungdomsledare, är en livsstil på något vis". 💚Med ett stort hjärta och ett fantastiskt engagemang leder Wanja de tre grupperna Mulle, Strövare coh Frilufsare för Friluftsfrämjandet I Varberg. Hon sprider en fantastisk värme omkring sig! 🌲🌿❄️ Hon väcker barnens nyfikenhet att lära sig utforska natur och omgivningar. Det är med ett fantastiskt engagemang hon anordnar utomhusaktiviteter för barn. I ur och skur leder hon grupperna från februari till början på december. Detta gör hon nästan varje helg alltid med stor glädje . 5️⃣0️⃣ Wanja gör i år sitt FEMTIONDE år som ideell ledare inom Friluftsfrämjande och är en verklig tillgång för föreningen.

The fantastic Lorient-La Base was once again buzzing with excitement for the Défi Azimut. Now in its 15th year, the event brings together 12 pairs of skippers on their Imoca foiling 60 footers for what was to be another intense, festive and friendly week. Ray Davies of Emirates Team New Zealand recently made a vibrant stop in Naples, Italy, ahead of the upcoming Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup, and was left in awe: of both the city and its sailing conditions. “This is Naples. It’s unreal!” said Davies. “From what I’ve seen in just two days, it’s absolutely sensational.” Having competed in Naples during the America’s Cup World Series events in 2012 and 2013, Davies returns with fresh eyes, now envisioning the AC75s racing across the iconic Bay of Naples. Thomas de Dinechin's mast broke during the 56th edition of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec in September 2025. De Dinechin was sailing aboard the boat, Almond for Pure Océan, when the dismasting occurred. From roll-out at dawn to dock-in at sunset, here is a full day at the Cagliari Base lived through the team’s eyes. The fleet leaves the dock for the sailing session while design team and shore team monitor every detail, from onboard systems to radio communications. The conditions for the day were similar to Tuesday but with a forecast of strong southerly winds arriving mid-afternoon, so expectations were for one or two races. After a timing error from New Moon, Otto made the best of the start of Race 3 and led uop the first neat and down the run. However, they picked the inshore gate mark while New Moon rounded the offshore gate into the slowly shifting breeze. New Moon took advantage and took the lead to win from Otto with Enez C'las II a solid third. Week 6–8 of the Mini Globe Race 2025 brings a mix of paradise, emotions, and new beginnings. After thousands of miles across the Indian Ocean, skippers reach the stunning Cocos-Keeling Islands — white sands, turquoise waters, and a brief taste of heaven before the challenge continues. But even in paradise, homesickness creeps in… and sometimes a new haircut means a fresh start!

Dia 3 : Puerto de Vueltas, Valle Gran Rey (La Gomera) - Puerto La Restinga (El Hierro) La V REGATA DE LOS PUERTOS CANARIOS se ha desarrollado entre los días 10 y 15 de Mayo de 2.021 . El evento ha unido las islas de Tenerife, La Gomera y el Hierro, quedando pendiente la llegada a la isla de La Palma debido a la cancelación de la última etapa de la regata por las condiciones meteorológicas adversas de fuertes vientos de más de 35 nudos y olas. Han participado un total de 20 embarcaciones a vela con 152 tripulantes procedentes de todas las Islas Canarias, respaldados por la organización y equipo de apoyo compuesta por 4 jueces de regata, barco de apoyo y equipo de prensa y fotógrafos. As regatas devem reunir mais de 100 barcos de classes como ORC, RGS, Bico de Proa, Clássicos, C30 e HPE25. Para retomada das provas, os organizadores adotarão medidas restritivas e consultaram dirigentes de outras competições pelo mundo, não apenas de vela oceânica. Todas as atividades relacionadas à Semana Internacional de Vela de Ilhabela atenderão aos protocolos de segurança oficiais relacionados à COVID-19. Uma das novidades para 2021 é a exigência de teste de PCR com 72 horas de antecedência para o credenciamento, que será feito nos dias 24 e 25 de julho. Além do mais, o Yacht Club de Ilhabela (YCI) não estará aberto a convidados.

Work never stops. In this episode, I decide to replace a broken aft bilge pump. This is a safety factor - if water is pouring in for some reason, you need functioning pumps to at least keep you afloat long enough to get to shore, or get a tow. Being under the aft cabin dresser, I spent a lot of time with my head down in the depths! Next, and at random, I decided to repair the hot water tank. It had a slight drip, the wood underneath was wet, and I was afraid that the wood would get saturated and start getting punky. After a few trips to various stores to get a replacement, I got lucky at a nearby marina and found a newer replacement. About an hour later and it was all done. And no leaks! Finally, I put a waterproof case on my Akaso camera and took the plunge, as it were. Into the river to see what I could see, and to see if there was any leakage (there wasn't!). This will be fun in upcoming videos. And Chloe made a friend!! Bella is a cockapoo being looked after by friends of our, and they came by for a quick visit. The dogs did the inevitable butt-sniffing, then started to play. It was fun to watch! A work of caution - the weather is hot and muggy and it's critical to keep your pets hydrated and out of the sun as much as possible!
