Traveling on the ICW changes by the hour. You can be open bays and then in canals where there is no wind. There are so few places you can see so much of America and really understand the off-the-beaten-path aspect of the waterways of the ICW. A friend once told me the ICW is the back roads of America's waterways. One thing it is not is boring. Ilhabela, Brazil, is a great island with so many different places. We started this week in Saco do Sombrio, where we got 150 squids, and we sailed back to Saco da Capela. We explore the Island of Ilhabela a little bit and then we drove to Guarujá to fix our rudder quadrant and we visited some good friends, Reginaldo, Fred and Ramiro and Gika from Força Maior. Roberta cut our friend's hair and we learned how to clean and cook a fish called Baiacu Arara, that is a delicious fish.
