Fun and misery in the paradise. San Blas stories - sailing, exploring underwater world and repairing
What is cruising? it is repairing your boat in the most beautiful places of the world. We came to San Blas islands (Kuna Yala or Guna Yala archipelago) to enjoy liveaboard simple life, but instead of snorkeling and fishing we repair a watermaker and sail. But don’t worry. In this film not only story how to repair this and that. There are beautiful shots of sailing between the islands, stunning underwater pictures and a monster grouper caught by a local fisherman. Love, Peace and Ocean Breeze Tali and Guenther Follow us for more sailing videos and travel stories: https://youtube.com/UmadumSailing We’re a Russian-Austrian couple, live aboard sailors/cruisers and professional filmmakers with a genuine love for life. Cruising oceans since 25 years. This is our life. Two adventurous people sailing around the world. Living the dream so many people are only dreaming of. Sailing, traveling, adventure, freedome. This is the life we want to share with you. Making travel documentaries. Yes, there are so many sailing videos. In our films we show you not only the daily cruising life. But countries we explore. People we meet. Local culture and island life. Simple and healthy living. Music, cuisine, crafts, locals artists. We will be happy if our videos inspire you to explore a different way of living. Soooo here it is - a look into our first week of actually sailing our Beneteau Oceanis 390 aka our floating home! After living aboard our sailboat for 3 weeks we finally got to take her out and set sail. And let me tell you - it was AMAZIIING! But as new sailors with no previous experience, it was exciting and terrifying both at the same time 😬🤙🏼⛵️ With the help of some good friends, we got smooth champagne sailing, action with heavy heel, overnight anchoring at Ny-Hellesund and a two night stay at Bragdøya Harbour. As always the Norwegian weather gives you both summer, spring and autumn within a week - but WOW what a trip it has been! Finally we are a bit more confident in ourself and managing the boat, i guess the rest of the summer is going to be all sailing, learning by doing they say - SAYONARA! We hope you will enjoy this video, it is a really big moment for us - and the start of creating our DREAM LIFE AT SEA⛵️🌊💙 Subscribe to our channel and hit the notification bell to follow our journey and get tips and insights on living aboard a sailboat and to see us learn as we go! 👀 CHECK OUT our socials: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/threetravelingpages/ ⛵️SUPPORT the dream & join the family at Patreon: patreon.com/threetravelingpages
27,000 nautical miles, 27 locations and 16 months later, the Oyster World Rally 2024-25 fleet completed their life-changing circumnavigation when they returned to Nelson's Dockyard, Antigua, on April 4th 2025. The fleet began their journey in January 2024, heading from Antigua through the Caribbean and into the Panama Canal. After stopovers in the Galapagos Islands and the Marquesas Islands, a 3,200-mile passage saw them arrive in French Polynesia for several weeks of exploration. Heading across to Australia, into Indonesia and then round the Cape of Good Hope to South Africa, it was in 2025 that they began the final stint. Enjoying the remote island of St Helena, carnival in Salvador and Recife and then a final cruise from Grenada back into Nelson's Dockyard to cross the finish line. Summing up a circumnavigation is not an easy task, but the memories and sentiment of the fleet remained autonomous - it truly was the adventure of a lifetime. Wooop, we had the most amazing holiday in the Philippines in June, diving at Malapascua Island (with the thresher sharks), Moalboal (with lots of turtles) and Oslob (with 14 whalesharks!!). This is the second video of the trip, not about the sharks, but about all the other things we've seen on the trip!! With lots of pipefish, countless nudibranchs and heaps of other macro critters, it was a stunning trip that we'll never forget!! Thanks Roger, Jenny, Merv, Richard, Sam, Gill and Rob for joining us on the trip, we can't wait for the next one!! Keen to join our trips next year? Dive with bull, tiger and reef sharks at Fiji in August or join our luxury liveaboard in Palau in July for big animals and WWII wrecks!! My Bavaria 32 was sold in August 2021 and since then I have worked at my job at the paperbag factory to get the money needed for a bigger boat. To get the money for the boat I have transferred a amount of money from my salary account to a savings account every month, and at the same time kept my expenses down to save as many money as possible. As it looks right now it is possible to buy a boat in the spring/summer of 2022. My biggest problem is to find the right one with shallow draft, bow thruster, furling main, heat and so on. I see many good offers but the problem is the boats is in the 44-47 foot range which is too big for my waterspot and to big in general regarding maintenance and ownership in the long run.

Mastering the A-Frame Main Sheet System for Better Sailing Performance In this episode, we dive into the functionality and advantages of the A-frame main sheet system used on sailing vessels. The system features two main sheets, one on port and one on starboard, each managed by a dedicated winch. You'll learn how to ease and trim the main sail, understand the choice of active main sheet based on wind direction, and see how the system prevents the boom from excessive movement in choppy sea conditions. Watch as we demonstrate these techniques and discuss the benefits for more controlled and comfortable sailing.
