Over the past few months we have been working hard to complete the final jobs to get our sailboat Te Tāiko CAT 1 certified, which is a requirement for any New Zealand registered boats planning to go offshore. With Tāiko gaining her CAT 1 certification, we sailed back to the beautiful Bay of Islands where we would anchor and wait for a weather window to sail north to Fiji. Oke Bay was our last anchorage in New Zealand and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to end our time sailing in New Zealand.
