Gel zaman git zaman Azor adalarında her adaya geçişimizde bir festivale rastlamamız adalardaki günlerimizi de şenlendirdi. Don Juan festivali dansların, müziklerin çokça olduğu bir festivaldi. Herkes çok sıcak ve güler yüzlü bu güzel adalarda. Halk oyunlarında çemberde dans etmek ben de senin gibiyim demenin bir yolu. Ekip tüm nezaketiyle herkese adımları öğretmeye gayret etti. Tabii beş benzemez milletten beş benzemez insan komik sahnelere vesile oldu. Biz çok eğlendik. Limanda Levent ile tanıştık. Teknesini Karayipler’den almış. Amerika’da çalışmış bir ömür. Şimdi de Barselona’ya yerleşiyor. Ne yazık ki iki gün içinde Portekiz anakarasına doğru yola çıkacak. Bu kısa tanışıklık ile keyifli zaman geçirdik hem Levent’le hem de dostlarımız Rex ve Louise ile. Some Footage from the 2016, 30th King's Cup Regatta last week. During the first day's strong winds we were able to show case the majority of the Rapido's expected performance in Phuket with two 1st place finishes. Unfortunately the wind dropped for the rest of the regatta, but the team still managed a Podium finish, and captured some great footage during the week.

After spending six weeks exploring Waiheke Island it was time to head north to Whangaparoa Peninsula, Gulf Harbour and Kawau Island. Kawau is only a few kilometres north but is a little gem! Lovely anchorages, good walks, a bit of history and a shipwreck meant we were not short of things to do.We kept a close eye on the weather, with (Ex )Cyclone Gita giving us a close shave along the way. Wanneer een route saai is of als het regent, gebruik dan het volgen van een route door de B&G Zeus3 kaartplotter in combinatie met je stuurautomaat. De route kan je met de auto-docking functie in een keer tussen begin en eindpunt laten maken. Daarna selecteer je de route in het route menu en druk je op start. Vervolgens kies je op de stuurautomaat de functie navigation en volgt hij automatisch de route en stuurt zelf bij na elk route punt. Hij geeft een pieptoon bij elk routepunt. Dit is heel comfortabel op het kielerkanaal. Let wel op, soms kiest de autodocking functie hier de binnenbocht en check dan je AIS of er wat aankomt ;)

Strangford Sailing club kicked off the annual Narrows Series with their annual regatta. The IRC1 fleet had a strong turn out with seven boats set to contest the 3 race series. It was great to have a visiting Scottish boat over for the weekend. If Animal's ( GBR 3627L ) result in the warm up Bar Buoy Race was anything to go by they were going to be tough to beat. After a crazy start of Strangford Sailing club were GTR raced directly away from the first mark to build a big lead the fleet came back together after a 30 minute glass out. The racing was super tight with 40 seconds covering the first 3 boats, leaving all to play for over the next two days. A Jim Antrim designed 40 foot offshore race boat that is being built on location at the Berkeley Marine Center in Berkeley California. This is the last set of sails to roll out of the loft as Kame and Sally are retiring after several decades of being the Bay Area go to sail loft for high quality racing and cruising sails.
