Ride along as we take a very shallow route into the inner anchorage at Double Breasted Cays, Abacos, Bahamas. You'll see how seagrass can be deceiving and the way currents grab Clarity and push her toward a sand bank. But all the stress....it is worth it! After sailing to Port Royal on the Island of Roatan, Honduras, we snorkel a gorgeous reef, then head out on Little Shit to get to a remote beach far far away on the other side of Roatan. We navigate through mangrove mazes, shallow waters, and finally find the perfect spot for a beach picnic. If only cruising were always so fun! Did you like this video? The Maverick 440 Catamaran is billed as the perfect 44 ft catamaran to take a couple or small family around the world in comfort. Their ethos of building custom catamarans where no ask is too big is refreshing in a market where builders are sometimes reluctant to say "yes" to customers. Cat Resource Page: https://hubs.ly/H0m3NcQ0 Denison is pleased to welcome Mat Bryant coming from West Coast Mutlihulls. Mat recently spent time working full time on a substantial re-rig and re-fit of the M&M 65 Gizmo, now cruising the South Pacific. He has also been leading the optimization of the Corsair 31-1Design F-Bomb, which promises to turn a lot of heads in the San Diego racing community. Mat is continuing to elevate the profile of trimaran racing in Southern California, and playing a key role in the acceptance of Corsair Trimarans in the local PHRF fleet. Mat works with clients, whether racers or cruisers, on racing trimarans or cruising cats, to optimize sail handling and performance for their desired use of the boat. Want to win? He can help. Looking for faster passages, or better light air boat speed? Mat can do that, too. Mat is excited to be a yacht broker for an organization that has such a rich heritage as Denison Yacht Sales, and is looking forward to discovering the Pacific historic sailing and cruising grounds with his clients.

A couple of modern-day documentarians, perpetual travelers, and seekers of tall tales. We’ve been chasing our curiosity around the world on wheels and keels since 2011. Why? Because curiosity is the key to unlocking life. It pushes us outside our comfort zone, softens our assumptions, and helps us embrace the great unknown. The more we let our curiosity lead the way, the more we discover about ourselves and the world around us. Our home is also our transportation and we spend weeks away from civilization and sometimes land. Self-reliance and living a sustainable lifestyle are a must. It's all about managing our resources and we’re always looking for new and better ways to do so. We've lived off the grid for over 10 years now in everything from a Van to RV to a Sailboat. And over time we have learned a lot about renewable energy, creating safe drinking water, and managing our waste. Our journey is ever-evolving but the mission remains the same: #CultivateCuriosity Timestamps if you like to Jump Around: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #BoatLife #Catamaran #TravelVlog #DigitalNomad #LifeStyle #Sailboats © Gone With the Wynns 2022

This week, we tried to raise the first wall of our shed… and it didn't go so well. It was a scary moment—heavy wall, bad leverage, and our dog Oso just inches from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We thought we were ready. We weren’t. But like everything else in this project, we’re learning as we go. In this episode, we take you through the process of framing and raising our first walls—what went wrong, how we recovered, and what the experience taught us about building smarter, not faster. We’re documenting every step of our DIY homestead journey as we turn a raw piece of land in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina into our family’s forever home. If you’re into building from scratch, mountain living, and raising kids with dirt on their shoes—we’d love to have you along for the ride. Subscribe so you don’t miss what happens next. Trouble is- we were in a pandemic, had a university degree to finish, on a student budget, only had ever sailed dingies, oh and didn’t have a boat. The dream seemed not only unrealistic but pretty insane. However, we worked hard, finished our degrees, worked as many hours as physically possible, saved with all our might, got experience and in March 2022 bought our very own sailboat, Teulu. Having little sailing experience and being a young couple, we have encountered a tonne of hurdles and made plenty of mistakes! but for every downfall, there has always been a reason to dust ourselves off and carry on. We hope you can join us as we sail around the world and keep #bloodydoingit #sailing #boatlife

Winter Sailing, Finding the Perfect Dock - Episode 294 - Acorn to Arabella: Journey of a Wooden Boat
Come along as we sail and navigate chilly waters in search of a winter haven for Arabella. We've got some stunning sailing footage for you as we set sail from Sandwich, Massachusetts, with Scott and Jack aboard to crew through the sometimes-treacherous currents of Woods Hole and the challenging waters of Buzzards Bay. Known for its strong currents and weather challenges, this leg of the journey promises excitement and a test of Steve and Jack's seamanship. It's also a great chance for Scott to experience more interesting conditions as he's still learning on the water. Before their departure, Steve tracks down and repairs a bit of water ingress in the forepeak. He'll be needing an additional rivet, a hot knife, and of course, crossed fingers, as per usual. Boat maintenance is, truly, fun sleuthing. Thank you for your support, and for everyone who's here every week, leaving a comment. Here for the first time? Subscribe to our newsletter to be sure you see more of our adventures. -------------------------- Sign up for our email newsletter: http://eepurl.com/hn3Qyv Acorn to Arabella started as a wooden boat building project in Granby, Massachusetts. Steve began the journey as an amateur wooden boat builder crafting a 38' wooden sailboat in his backyard: designer William Atkin's Ingrid with a Stormy Petrel's gaff rig. These videos follow the journey from tree felling, to lumber milling, to lofting, to the lead keel pour and now sailing the boat—sharing details of the woodworking, carpentry, metal smithing, tool building, and tool maintenance that traditional wooden boats command. This ultimate DIY project continues beyond the boat shop, as Steve and crew travel and learn to cruise aboard the handmade wooden boat that they've built. Just kidding about all that, this channel is about a Siberian Laika named Akiva. -------------------------- If you are interested in supporting/helping here are a few ways: https://www.acorntoarabella.com/how-to-help Acorn to Arabella's wishlist: https://www.acorntoarabella.com/wishlistpriority TotalBoat supports A2A! Safe sailing. Boat: White Shadow is a Van De Stadt ‘Seal’ 36 (11 metres). She is hand made in steel, 2004, with a round bilge (hull) and a modified coach roof. This makes her a ‘one off’ and in my opinion the most beautiful Van De Stadt 36 ever built. The camera gear: Main camera is a Panasonic Hc- V700 with a Rode External mic with a sponge and dead kitten attached. Action, underwater scenes and small blogging is done with two Osmo action cams. Some boat shots are done with a Dji gimbal camera. Editing: Final cut pro on a Macbook. Most of the material for each video is filmed over a period of several weeks or so and the editing of each episode is normally done over a day. This process can take longer if original music is used or permissions are needed for copyrighted materials etc. Much time is spent sorting out technical problems. In this case I normally get the help of a younger person who understands computerie stuff! There are also times when filming, editing and uploading is not possible due to being at sea or in locations with no internet access. Content: I have found that filming and releasing material over a period of time is better than doing ‘vlog’ style videos and trying to make episodes out of whats happened in a week, regardless if it’s good content or not. By filming over a period of time I can be more selective in what goes into each video. My aim is to avoid ‘bland and mundane’ and have at least one or two exciting and interesting events in every video. Every video has to be entertaining. Comments and being at sea: I love reading your comments. Most weeks Im able to read everyone. I cant reply to everybody but I do read and enjoy them. Keep them coming! There are times that It might seem I'm not on the internet for certain periods, this is normally when Im at sea on passage. While Im out on the Ocean I have completely no communications with the outside World. We are Ben and MP! Recently we decided to purchase a two-masted wooden schooner in Brazil. The fun detail about our story is that the boat we bought was sinking and relying on many bilge pumps to survive so we had to lift it onto the dry to start a full refit. Once the boat was lifted (for the first time in her life) we realized that the work needed was much more than expected. Between bailing or accepting the challenge, we decided to go for the second option. Watch us as we bring Yabá back to life with the help of an amazing team of traditional shipwrights, sharing every phase of the process, overcoming the highs and lows and having fun along the way. You might think that big catamarans are only suited for inboard diesel engines. Think again! In this video, we're breaking down a common misconception and revealing the surprising advantages of using modern outboard motors on a large cruising catamaran. We'll take you through a head-to-head comparison of outboards versus inboards, and you'll learn why many experienced sailors and boat builders are making the switch. From the ease of maintenance to the improved performance and even safety benefits, outboards offer a compelling case that goes far beyond their lower initial cost. In this video, we'll cover: Easy Maintenance & Repair: See why having your engines on the outside makes servicing a breeze, saving you time and money. Performance Gains: Find out how less weight and less drag can translate to better sailing performance and a shallower draft for exploring new anchorages. More Space & Less Noise: Learn how outboards free up valuable living space inside your hulls and can be surprisingly quiet. Cost-Effectiveness: We'll compare the up-front and long-term costs of both systems, so you can make an informed decision for your next boat. Whether you're a long-time sailor or just starting your journey into the world of multihulls, this video will challenge your assumptions and show you why outboards are a powerful and smart choice for a big cat. #Catamaran #Sailing #OutboardMotors #MarineElectronics #BoatingTips #DIYBoat #CruisingCatamaran #SailingLife #OutboardVsInboard #BoatReview -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------//--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Join the Reversing Entropy Project, You will help the channel share the knowledge with all the sailing community.
