La baie de Dwejra est une petite baie se trouvant à l'ouest de Gozo. Cette baie est célèbre pour être fermée côté mer par Fungus Rock, un îlot sur lequel pousse le cynomorium écarlate une plante qui rentrait dans la pharmacopée de la Sacra Infermeria. Do you like the name of this episode? So do we! We actually left it up to our Patrons to decide on this one by giving their suggestions after they watched it. Thanks for the title David, we really love it! In this episode Matt starts with the sanding of our bottom so that we can get it ready for paint. Inevitably in a few spots he goes through down to bare metal, which means they need to be primed again with our Interlux Innerprotect before any of the new bottom paint can go on. We also make a trip from Praia to Angra do Heroismo to visit our friend Carlos and pick up a few packages he's been holding for us. We were a little surprised to find a few have been held up in customs and then went on a search to see if that could get taken care of. It was fruitless. Nog ongerept, zonder warenhuizen en verkeersfiles. Van pinnacles tot ondiepe zachte koraaltuinen, van wouden met zwart koraal tot eindeloze drop offs... De variatie van duikplaatsen is adembenemend! Sommige duikers noemen Triton Bay nu al "soft coral capital of the world"! Je kan hier bijna alle soorten marine leven vinden die je in de rest van Indonesië kan vinden. Van de kleinste pygmee seahorse, tot de gracieuze walvishaaien die de traditionele vissersvlotten (bagans) bezoeken. Er werden rond dezelfde bagans ook al scholen dolfijnen waargenomen. In deze regio werden ook al enkele soorten ontdekt die nergens anders kunnen gezien worden zoals de "Triton Bay walking shark" en de "P. Tra un viaggio e l' altro in barca a vela nel Mediterraneo con la Maruzza, adoro esplorare i posti meno conosciuti e selvaggi del pianeta. Diversi anni fa e' toccato al Venezuela! Ho passato parecchio tempo negli Llanos, le pianure alluvionali che stanno tra l' Amazzonia e la costa tropicale. E' un posto davvero incredibile, infestato di piranha, caimani e ogni tipo di zanzare! La gente del posto e' dura come il cuoio stagionato ma anche accogliente e gentile e farsi ospitare in una fattoria sperduta nel niente e' davvero facile. Lì dominano i cavalli, le mucche e ogni tipo di fauna selvaggia, dalle anaconde ai caimani; dai delfini di fiume ai capipara, i piu' grandi roditori del mondo! Grossi come cani!! E' bellissimo ma anche un incubo! Vivevo nelle capanne dei locali procurandomi la cena come capitava, esplorando i fiumi in canoa e cercando di sopravvivere con quello che imparavo durante il cammino, Un' esperienza incredibile di liberta' che mi ha preparato per tutte le grandi avventure che poi sono seguite, dall' Africa, all' India ai grandi orizzonti del mare.
