Between the jobs I've been working I bought a larger hull I hope to combine with the catamaran to make a trimaran. Just moving and storing the hulls is so much work, but iy has to be done in order to achieve the goal. I took a long road trip to pick up what I needed to keep the Pirate dream alive. Enjoy.

We sailed across Lake Michigan! After much planning and watching the long-term weather forecast, we checked off a major accomplishment! This adventure was a dream come true. Join us on our thrilling first sailboat crossing of Lake Michigan! ??? After leaving the harbor in Chicago, we headed east to Michigan City, IN. The wind was very light and appeared to be coming at us directly from Michigan City! We decided to motor to make it before nightfall. We arrived in the evening and spent the night in the marina. Early the next morning, we headed out to New Buffalo, MI where we spent the day with family. After a good night's sleep in the marina, we got up bright and early and headed back to Chicago. The conditions were so right and we sailed the entire way. Watch as we spot the skyline after spending hours out of sight of any land! Thanks for watching! Let's connect! Loving the small boats sailing around Garrison Bight in Key West as we eagerly await our weather window to head over to The Bahamas.

? Full test in Multihulls World N°199: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/trimaran/rapido-53xs-a-trimaran-that-competes-with-catamarans ? Essai complet dans Multicoques Mag N°228 : https://www.multicoques-mag.com/essais/trimaran/rapido-53xs-un-trimaran-qui-concurrence-les-catamarans ? A pleasant surprise: the first competitor to the Neel formula (three hulls topped by a large nacelle) has been presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The Rapido 53XS takes the Morrelli & Melvin hull design of the "classic" 50, using a fixed structure (i.e. not foldable) with an added 1,760 lbs (800 kg) of extra superstructure. The aim of offering a large saloon, 3 comfortable cabins and two bathrooms has been perfectly achieved: the difference in volume between the 50 and the 53XS is striking. The manufacturer could have stuck to this concession to comfort... but no, the appendages have also been completely revised. The draft of the appendages has been calculated so as not to exceed that of the central hull. ? Builder: Rapido Trimarans Hull length: 52'10" (16.1 m) Beam: 34' (10.36 m) Draft: 2.2' (0.67 m)/12'11" (3.94 m) Light displacement: 20,613lbs (9.35 t) Air draft: 85' (25.86 m) Mainsail: 1,259 sq ft (117 m²) Solent: 786 sq ft (73 m²) Stay-sail: 268 sq ft (25 m²) Gennaker: 1,615 sq ft (150 m²) Spinnaker: 2,476 sq ft (230 m²) ? In this video, we take our 7-meter motorhome on a somewhat challenging road trip from Picton to Hawke's Bay, starting with a ferry ride across Cook Strait and then tackling one of New Zealand's most demanding roads-the Remutaka Hill Road. ?? Ferry Crossing: Taking our motorhome on the ferry to cross the Cook Strait , with stunning views of the Marlborough Sounds. ?? Remutaka Hill Road: A steep, winding, high-risk highway-would our motorhome handle the climb? ? Tight Squeeze! Adam had to carefully maneuver the bus down an extremely narrow driveway-a real test of driving skills! If you love motorhome travel, road trips, van life, off-grid adventures, and real-life travel challenges, this video is for you! We hope you enjoy it! As always, thanks for watching. After years of being career focused, we decided it was time to shake things up and sought a lifestyle that would provide us with new experiences, humble us, allow us to visit remote locations, and experience new cultures. In 2021, we traded our regular suburban lifestyle for a nomadic one and moved aboard our sailboat, Te T?iko, a Chico 40. After three years sailing in New Zealand and preparing for Category 1 (regulations for New Zealand registered vessels planning to sail offshore), we set sail from New Zealand to Fiji on the 23 May 2024. This would be Vicki and T?iko's first ocean passage and Adam's third. We have since sailed to Vanuatu and New Caledonia, where we will be during the cyclone season. We fund our lifestyle by working part time. This sometimes involves returning to New Zealand to help top up the bank account. The other avenue is through our content creation where we document our journey though YouTube videos and our our social media accounts and website. We would love for you to follow our progress as we navigate a nomadic lifestyle. If our content is something that you enjoy, please consider supporting our channel.
