Il a fallu réagir vite pour limiter les dégâts : dos au vent pour limiter l'entrée d'eau, récupération des voiles stockées dans la trappe, puis colmatage à la colle. La trappe est condamnée et ne fuit plus. One new project we have started though is our cockpit doors! Since we have no seating running along the sill of our cockpit, that entire space will eventually open up. Which means we need to make three separate doors to close it up at times. Two that will slide into pockets next to the cockpit seats, and one in the center which will lift up and latch to the cabin top. Starting out with fresh sheets of 4x8 nidacore, Matt cuts them down to size, and we go about glassing both sides of them. Each side gets 0.75 oz of chop strand, and then two layers of a 45/45 biaxel. For extra strength around the edges, Matt will be fitting in pieces made from layers of our unidirectional fiberglass. Matt firstly layers six sheets of our unidirectional, cuts them to size, then de-cores the edges around the doors and bonds in the pieces of cured unidirectional by using our TotalBoat structural putty. In some other fun news, we get the chance to prime another area for the first time. Our cabin sides and the under the cabin top. Although the exterior sides of the cabin will be covered by glass or acrylic, we still wanted a fairly smooth surface for those to bond to. And since the underside of the cabin can be seen any time you're sitting on deck, yeah, we just want that to look good, haha. Hopefully these steps will let us get into close up shape pretty soon! Once we move out of the tent and into the work yard, we can begin attaching the nose cones and stern to finally reach the full length of our catamaran! We hope you enjoy!

Une plage gigantesque au sable couleur champagne, des nuances de bleu irréelles dont on ne se lasse pas… C’est rare qu’on se prélasse longtemps sur la plage… mais là… impossible de résister. On avait l’impression d’être dans le décor du film " Le Lagon Bleu" ou de "Seul au monde" avec Tom Hanks. C'est sans hésiter : l’un de nos plus beaux mouillages depuis le début du voyage ! Puis on vous emmène dans un autre endroit tout aussi magique, avec une eau translucide et un snorkeling incroyable 🤿✨ Mais le voyage continue… Nous quittons le nord des Yasawas Islands pour nous mettre à l’abri d’une tournure de vent. Et là… changement total d’ambiance 😅 L’arrivée est beaucoup moins idyllique : navettes de touristes, resort peu accueillant… L’endroit ne nous charme pas vraiment et il pleut des cordes 🌧️ Le chef du village nous invite, avec nos amis français Thierry et Maryline, à partager un repas traditionnel (20 CHF par personne), avant de découvrir le fameux kava lors d’une cérémonie inoubliable. Stuck on the ICW through Georgia, we weren't offered much in terms of novel views. As we crossed the Savannah River into Georgia, we saw more marshland on the ICW, had more bald eagle and dolphin sightings, and we did our best to at least motorsail our way south. We did get to witness the recovery efforts of the capsized Golden Ray cargo ship, a disaster which resulted in more than $200 million in damage, caused by incorrect calculations about the vessel's stability. This version of Episode 59 includes minimal edits to video and audio. This is intended to allow us to roll out more videos weekly in order to encourage greater engagement with our audience, and also to allow us to catch up to current time a bit quicker.
