Genius is the common ground of all great solutions. And in yachting, innovation goes far beyond aesthetics — it’s about functionality and design synergy. On board the Cranchi A32 luxury tender, style meets practicality with the ergonomic Besenzoni P448 pilot seats, perfectly integrated into the yacht’s refined design language. But true genius reveals itself aft: a seamless, invisible mechanism that transforms the stern. With a simple motion, the platform opens to reveal a hidden boarding ladder, merging engineering and elegance in the most effortless way. Simple. Clean. Effective. Amazing deal to be had on this new 2025 Dufour Yachts 37 Sailboat located in San Diego, California. For more information please contact Ian Van Tuyl the yacht specialist. Please feel free to contact me at any time day or night and I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully earning your business. 1-(619)-507-4416 ivtyachtsales@gmail.com http://www.ivtyachtsales.com – INSTINCTIVE SAILING – The Dufour 37 is the only yacht in her size range to offer so many living spaces on board. The hull of the Dufour 37, like her big sistership the Dufour 470, is built using the infusion process for correctly controlled weight, greater strength and respect for the environment. Thanks to optimised volumes and a bow designed for greater volume forward, the Dufour 37 offers a very spacious owner’s cabin at the front, with excellent headroom. Whether the three-cabin or two-cabin version with its large bathroom, the interior of this model is bathed in light thanks to the large central hull windows. The Dufour DNA All the Dufour DNA has been retained: enjoy large outdoor living spaces. The Dufour 37 benefits from the major innovations that made the Dufour 470 such a success: the bowsprit platform, the large deck hatches and hull windows, and the layout of all the outdoor space that makes it easy to move around on deck. You’ll also enjoy a bigger cockpit than on other yachts of this size. Aboard this new model, as on all the latest models in the range, the emphasis has been placed on outdoor living. DUFOUR 37 Highlights IMPROVED MARINE PERFORMANCE IN ALL CONDITIONS As for the seakindliness of this yacht, she benefits from a modern and stable hull as you’d see on offshore racing boats, but with a slightly rounded lower hull that favours her passage through the water, while reducing the sound inside the yacht. This new hull form allows for a greater power/weight ratio for this boat that measures 10.8 metres overall: the feel at the helm is improved and offers more pleasure to the helmsman whatever point of sail you are on. On this new model, and particularly in comparison with other models in her size category, the mast has been lengthened to give increased sail area and make this yacht even more powerful. The Dufour 37, like her predecessor the Dufour 360, has a single rudder and twin steering wheels. Thanks to having just one rudder, you’ll enjoy greater responsiveness and liveliness as you are under way. For the interior, there are two layouts available depending on your sailing programme. In the two-cabin version, you can enjoy a very large bathroom (and a large exterior storage locker), as well as two independent cabins, including the owner’s suite at the front. Six berths are possible thanks to the saloon table which can be transformed into a berth. In the three-cabin version of the Dufour 37, up to eight guests can be accommodated. In both layouts, you’ll find a forward owner’s cabin whose size and comfort is rarely found on a yacht of this length. The hull windows and the headroom have been enlarged to bring even more light into the convivial living space of the saloon. This area intelligently houses the galley, the saloon and the dining area, with the two-cabin version also including a small desk that can be used as a chart table. Whether you’re coastal sailing or with your family, racing with friends, or cruising around the world (this model is in Category A), the Dufour 37 will meet all your expectations. As with the latest Dufour models, this new model is over-equipped with features: the plancha grill, found on the aft deck, is an essential feature on the latest Dufour models; fully inflatable cockpit upholstery and a forward sunbathing area complete the exterior layout of this new model. The Dufour 37 will accompany you on your wonderful cruising.

Hang in there with the videos, it wasn't exactly what we had on our vision boards! but was pur reality nonetheless.

Quel bonheur !

A few fishermen return from the sea, each with a single small catch, just a couple dozen fish in total. The fish are laid out in a colorful display, each one marked in its own unique way, ready for the brief but effecient auction. Local women also gather on the dock. Before the bidding starts, they move together through Radio Taiso, Japan’s national morning exercise routine. It’s a ritual that has echoed across generations and done communities and places of work and in parks across Japan. It is involves stretching body, lifting the spirit, and .practicing the Art of Community, Japan style Taiso ends and within seconds, the auction begins and ends — slates raised, smiles shared, and another day’s rhythm established. This isn’t a retirement village; it’s a working community where every generation has a place, and where work and play naturally blend. Even a turtle makes makes a regular appearance to witness local vitality gently expressed. Here, longevity isn’t a theory. It’s lived out in movement, purpose, and connection, This is the Art of Community on full display in a small coastal town in Japan. Come and run away with us as we finally leave Salvador, Brazil — fifth time’s a charm! 🌊 After countless false starts, we push through messy, uncomfortable seas, motoring under the “iron topsail” through squalls and rough weather. Our destination: the beautiful but tricky Barra do São Miguel. Getting in is no easy feat — we have to be piloted through a narrow, exposed reef pass in one of the sketchiest rides we’ve had yet. In this exciting episode, we officially become liveaboard sailors as we move full time onto our Beneteau Oceanis 430. After months of planning, preparing, and downsizing from our home on land, we are now living aboard our sailboat and beginning the journey of a lifetime—sailing around the world. Making the transition to the liveaboard lifestyle is a huge milestone for us. Moving onboard means adapting to a new way of life, learning to live in a smaller space, and organizing everything we own into the limited storage of our yacht. In this video, we share the emotional highs and lows, the excitement of stepping into our dream, and the challenges of getting ready for long-term cruising. Our Beneteau Oceanis 430 is more than just a boat—it’s now our home and our ticket to a life of adventure. We’re preparing her for the demands of bluewater sailing, getting her ready for passages across oceans, and setting up systems that will allow us to live off-grid as we travel the world by sail. For anyone who has ever dreamed of sailing full time, becoming a cruiser, or living aboard a yacht, this video gives you a real look at what it takes to start that journey. The decision to become liveaboards wasn’t just about sailing; it was about embracing freedom, simplicity, and adventure. Downsizing from land life to boat life has taught us what truly matters, and we’re excited to share that with others who are considering this lifestyle. Whether you’re a sailboat owner, a beginner sailor, or simply curious about life on the ocean, our story will inspire you to chase your own adventure. Join us as we take the first step into our dream of sailing around the world, exploring remote anchorages, and living life at sea. From preparing our boat to adjusting to life aboard, we’re documenting every part of this incredible transition into the liveaboard cruising lifestyle. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to follow along on our journey as we share more sailing episodes, liveaboard tips, and the realities of traveling the world by sailboat. This is just the beginning—our sailing adventure around the world starts now! Subscribe to follow our liveaboard journey, get more sailing tutorials, and join us as we explore the world, one anchorage at a time. It's been a year and a half since our first sail in @SailingAstridTheWombat actually that means it's been a year and a half since our first sail ever. That's right a year ago we bought this Beneteau Oceanis 430 and pulled the sail up for the first time ever when we brought her home. A sail that stretched 700 nautical miles from Townsville in Far North Queensland Australia to Moreton Bay in Brisbane Queensland. We are now preparing to move onboard and to sail around the world. Join us to see the challenges as we continue to learn to sail, prepare our boat and make changes so our boat feels like a home. We are moving onboard in just a few weeks so our sailing dream is getting closer and closer. Each experience we have and each new sailing skill learnt just keeps bringing us closer to taking off to sail around the world in our Beneteau Oceanis 430 @SailingAstridTheWombat living our boat life dream. Boat: White Shadow is a Van De Stadt ‘Seal’ 36 (11 metres). She is hand made in steel, 2004, with a round bilge (hull) and a modified coach roof. This makes her a ‘one off’ and in my opinion the most beautiful Van De Stadt 36 ever built. The camera gear: Main camera is a Canon R50 with a Rode External mic with a sponge and dead kitten attached. Back up is a Canon 200d. Action scenes and small blogging is done with an Insta 360 Ace2. Some boat shots are done with a Dji gimbal camera. I also use an Insta 360 and have two drones, a Magic mini2 and Mavic pro Editing: Final cut pro on a Macbook. Most of the material for each video is filmed over a period of several weeks or so and the editing of each episode is normally done over several days. This process can take longer if original music is used or permissions are needed for copyrighted materials etc. There are also times when filming, editing and uploading is not possible due to being at sea or in locations with no internet access. Content: I have found that filming and releasing material over a period of time is better than doing ‘vlog’ style videos and trying to make episodes out of whats happened in a week, regardless if it’s good content or not. By filming over a period of time I can be more selective in what goes into each video. My aim is to avoid ‘bland and mundane’ and have at least one or two exciting and interesting events in every video. Every video has to be entertaining. Comments and being at sea: I love reading your comments. Most weeks Im able to read everyone. I cant reply to everybody but I do read and enjoy them. Keep them coming! There are times that It might seem I'm not on the internet for certain periods, this is normally when Im at sea on passage. While Im out on the Ocean I have limited communications with the outside World. This is Part 2 of the video I made with Steve the Camera and Ben the surveyor about how we all sometimes get tired of boats costing loads of money. They don’t have to, and for the person prepared to work hard and use initiative, it’s sometimes surprising what can be found lurking in the back of boatyards all over the western world. We just have to think outside the box. I suggest you watch Part 1 first. #boat, #sailing, #boating, #boatlife If you’re interested in sailing, things maritime and the salty road to freedom, you'll enjoy my channel, so pour yourself a glass of the finest and settle down with my personal mixture of yarns and useful instructional material.
