Just as we were getting so close to the water, we've added an extra month to our work yard sentence. After having used Petit 2 part epoxy top coat paint last year and realizing we were having a terrible problem of it chipping and peeling off on us, we knew we needed to make the switch to something better. After viewing a few jobs in our work yard, we decided that AWL GRIP would be the best choice for us. A quick sea trial on the 2004 Beneteau 373 "Buzzard" here in the beautiful Virgin Islands. I was blown away by the condition of the boat. I was expecting the usual rough older Beneteau 373 we have grown accustom to down here in the islands. Built by Lloyd Werft and Stahlbau Shipyard in Germany, the superyacht’s success escalated very quickly. Her very first owner was the celebrity, Roman Abramovich. The famous 20-metre swimming pool was the most talked about in the yachting industry. Her enormous open aft deck also included a sunbathing area with an opulent beach club leading down to the swim platform. Apart from that, the voluminous 115-metre superyacht was equipped with everything needed for a world cruise. She was carrying a submarine and multipurpose limousines for a VIP transport service. Until now Luna is a star in the world of mega yachts. Interesting scenery along the way with an industrial section with some urban graffiti. We stopped in at the Bear on the Barge pub and had a couple of ales. Held up along the way we re-visited the Bear on the Barge for more tastings. A trip to the supermarket to fill up the pantry.
