We have a brief window of calm weather and slip our way along the Northern European coast, dodging ships, avoiding oil platforms and windmill farms until we reach Cap Gris-Nez (Cape Grey Nose) to make our crossing of the English Channel. Once across, we are awestruck at the chalky coastline at Dover and Beachy head as we sail along Englands souhter coast. We sail into the Solent to seek shelter before weather turns ugly for 3 days. Ma andiamo a vedere in che modo, o meglio, il modo migliore per scegliere la barca giusta per noi. Una prima ipotesi, una prima soluzione, potrebbe essere: scelgo una barca familiare per la navigazione, per stare a bordo, per vivere all'interno della barca e fare delle crociere, delle vere e proprie crociere. Siamo in questo momento su uno **Swift Trawler 41** di **Beneteau**. Non dico che sia una casa galleggiante, ma poco ci manca: i comfort sono veramente tanti, gli spazi sono enormi. Non è una barca sportiva e super veloce, ma appunto se la mia idea di navigare e godermi il mare è quella di farlo in famiglia, in tranquillità, in massimo relax, una tipologia di barca come questa Swift Trawler è proprio quella che fa per te. Certo, se la tua passione è la pesca, allora la barca da pesca è la migliore per te, ovviamente. Qui abbiamo, proprio dietro di noi, una barca famosissima americana che è una **Boston Whaler**. È una barca eccezionale per la pesca, ma tutti i cantieri hanno una proposta per lo sport della pesca. Ci sono le **Antares Fishing**, che sono barche di Beneteau, attrezzate e strutturate apposta per sviluppare al 100% la tua passione. Ma non solo loro, anche **Quicksilver** offre una gamma in modalità fishing, e tantissimi altri cantieri ovviamente propongono soluzioni per accontentare gli appassionati della pesca. Oppure, se la tua passione principale sono gli sport acquatici, molte barche offrono soluzioni ibride, proprio per poter sfruttare al 100% la possibilità di fare attività come wakeboard o sci nautico. Ad esempio, su questa **GT32** abbiamo, con questo arco, la possibilità di fare wakeboard in modo eccellente perché siamo al di sopra dei motori e al traino possiamo avere una persona che si diverte come un matto, oltre ad avere i massimi comfort all'interno della barca. Un'altra cosa importante è scegliere la dimensione adatta per te: adatta al budget che hai deciso di spendere, ovviamente, sia per l'acquisto che per la gestione della barca, e anche in base all'idea che hai di andare in barca. Perché è inutile avere una barca troppo grande se le tue esigenze sono magari di utilizzarla da solo, così come è inutile avere una barca troppo piccola se la tua idea è quella di portarci una famiglia o due famiglie. Quindi attenzione, le dimensioni sono veramente importanti. Andiamo a vedere nel dettaglio però adesso. Una delle soluzioni per iniziare con la nautica, per molti, è quella di cominciare con barche senza patente nautica, quindi fino a 40 cavalli. Normalmente queste barche sono al di sotto dei 6 metri, 5-5,5 metri di lunghezza. Sono degli ottimi entry level, degli ottimi inizi per vedere se la passione della nautica può essere una bella cosa per te, perché non è detto che qualcosa di bello vada bene per tutti. Un'altra categoria di barche è quella dai 6 ai 10 metri: c'è un'enormità di proposte, di soluzioni, di possibilità di spesa. Non posso ogni 30 centimetri farti un esempio, diventerebbe un discorso troppo lungo. Quindi prendo delle macro taglie: 6-10 metri, 7-10 metri. Si tratta di barche che puoi ancora utilizzare da solo o con la famiglia. Qui dipende molto dal tipo di budget che hai, dal tipo di posti che vuoi visitare o dal tipo di utilizzo che ne farai. A seconda di questa lunghezza ovviamente cambieranno anche i prezzi. We take advantage of the solitude to strip down and once again, bask in the beauty of nudity in nature. We take our baby Bearded Dragon, Sonya to the waterfalls for her first swim in fresh water. It's safe to say that we think she loved it. We have only a short 3 days here before continuing our journey north to Brook Island.
