Last week we started the work on our rudder tangs - shaping and gluing Coosa board as per the advice from fellow yachtsman. At the norht coast of the Gulf of Corinth, hidden between steep mountains and deep vallies, lies the world famous ancient city of Delphi. We visited the old ruins and were impressed by the 2 km in which the complex was build. We read about how kings and generals, not only from Greece but from Italy and Turkye made the long journey to the Oracle to ask their questions. In our latest blog we write about how the ritual of asking questions went, how the Oracle gave her answer and what examples were of questions and answers. Après deux nuits au mouillage à Préveza, sous des averses et de l’orage, nous prenons la mer pour une navigation de 30 milles direction une nouvelle île,Paxos. Une traversée pleine de surprises, où le vent et la houle se font sentir et nous rappelle toute la beauté et la puissance de la mer. À notre arrivée, nous découvrons des mouillages magnifiques, bien abrités, presque désertés en cette fin du mois d'octobre, parfaits pour profiter de l’été indien. L’air est doux, l’eau cristalline, et la tranquillité des lieux invite à la détente et à l’exploration. Entre paysages pittoresques, criques secrètes et panoramas à couper le souffle, nous profitons de cette magnifique île. This was NOT the a wake-up call I wanted. 😞 Anchored just a little too close to the reef, and in the pitch black, with no moon and no bow thruster to help push us off, a squall hit our floating home. Wind howling, rain sideways and our boat slowly inching closer to the coral!! Somehow, between our crew’s quick thinking and some luck, we managed to avoid disaster.
