I can see valid use cases for both the Saxdor 320 GTC and the NEW 340 GTWA so ultimately the decision will be based on your requirements for your next boat and with that information you can decide the best platform for your mission. As I have not featured a Saxdor 320 GTC on the channel before this was a great opportunity to discuss some of the points which you may be considering now you have the choice between this and the new model. With a full beam cabin the 320 GTC is maximising the internal volume for her length which may be a deciding factor for many of you depending on whiuch part of the world you are boating. It was the first time we'd been lucky enough to climb aboard a Moon Yacht and we were not dissappointed! The design and quality really impressed us and so did the price point, which when compared with some of the more established brands looked very tempting. The ability to customise the seating and general layout will also appeal to owners looking for a particular look and feel and is not something available on all of boats of this size. Huge thanks to the team at Moon Yachts for access to the boat and also your hospitality on the stand, much appreciated! Download Saily app or go to https://saily.com/atticus We’re starting by painting and installing fascia, which are both critical steps before we can seal the roof with ice and water shield. Once the roof is watertight, we’re finally able to install our Starlink system and bring internet to the property for the first time. This isn’t a full shed-to-office conversion just yet, but getting the structure dry and online is a major milestone in turning this rugged piece of land into a fully functional homestead workspace. That Was NOT What We Expected to Catch! Sailing the Wild Wessels | Sailing with the Jameses (Ep.145)
This week we are setting off from Gove in Arnhem Land and head into some of the most remote island chains in all of Australia — the Wessels. We sail through narrow island passes, drop a line and land a shark, and even spot unmanned vessels patrolling these off-grid waters. The landscape is wild, raw, and absolutely stunning — a part of the country few people ever get to see, let alone by sailboat. We are doing an overnight passage, rounding Cape Don under a starlit sky, entering the Van Diemen Gulf and complete our journey with a smooth arrival into Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory. This leg of the voyage was full of surprises, solitude, and raw beauty — and we're stoked to share it with you. ⏱️CHAPTERS 00:00 – Welcome Aboard! From storm clouds to sandy beaches, Episode 5 has a little bit of everything. We take the kids sailing, explore a quiet beach on the Chesapeake, and experience a gorgeous (and slightly intense) thunderstorm. Kaylee gets her first-ever haircut onboard, we clean our speed sensor, and replace the mainsheet line. We’re back for our second episode of the season and the ocean wasted no time testing us 🥴 This passage from Tangalooma to (intended) Double Island was one of our most challenging sails yet. **Cos'è l'ancora galleggiante e a cosa serve davvero? --- ### Come funziona? Join us for a quick and informative walkaround of the 2025 Kawasaki Ultra Sea Angler – a jet ski purpose-built for fishing enthusiasts. In this three-minute review, we explore the clever features that make this model stand out from the pack, especially if you’re after stability, gear storage, and on-the-water practicality. Based on the Ultra 160LX-S platform, the Sea Angler features a non-supercharged engine and comes with an Orca-made fishing box that doubles as a cool box for bait and your catch. There are fishing rod holders aplenty, a Garmin fish finder and chart plotter, and thoughtful touches like flatter sponsons for added stability while casting or reeling in. The unique green and grey finish gives it a fresh and rugged look . We also look at the reconfigured seating designed for comfort and movement while fishing, and point out handy details like the built-in wings and extra compartments. With a price tag of £19,874 (excluding trailer), this machine is geared toward serious fun and function – though you’ll need to forego the cover thanks to that oversized rear box! The high speed, short course action of SailGP is thrilling to watch, but inevitably causes tight situations and means the Umpires have to react quickly to decide who is right and who is wrong. Arguably, the most controversial decision of the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix in Portsmouth was in Race 6, as the Canadian Northstar SailGP team gybed on to starboard towards Gate 2 on the second leg, together with Rockwool Denmark, coming in towards Emirates GBR SailGP Team and Australian's BONDS Flying Roos to the right of them. The Flying Roos were penalised, which infuriated Driver Tom Slingsby, so I spoke with SailGP's Chief Umpire Craig Mitchell to find out how the decision was made and why the Australians were found to be in the wrong, together with views of the incident from multiple angles and UmpApp's tracking of the boats. Have a watch and tell us whether you think this call was right or wrong. #sailgp #portsmouth #sailing #umpire
There was a fire at the pump out station at the marina and all power was effectively shut down for 48 hrs. Good thing we are just about ready to leave so we might as well start out this adventure with a full on systems test! Solar was limited due to the direction of the boat at the marina but it was a start and worked beautifully.
We've all seen SailGP on YouTube, or on the TV, but what's it like to attend an event in person? On Sunday I went to the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix in Portsmouth, sitting in the grandstand and filming with the usual camera I use for interviews to try and give you a taste of the action and atmosphere from the shoreside. I also caught up with Vendée Globe star Sam Goodchild at the beginning of the day to get his thoughts on the experience. #sailgp #portsmouth #sailing #f50 #foiling

Hey everyone! This week there’s a lot going on. Not only are the fireworks lighting up the skies, but I’ve also had a notice to mariners telling me it’s time to move on. Before I can set sail though, there’s a bit of a mission ahead: I need to give the boat a good wash down and top up with fuel and water – all while I’m still solo onboard.
