Bula vinaka amici di Y2K! Atterriamo sull'isola di Yadua, un posto un po' fuori dalle rotte comuni. L'isola si trova all'imbocco del canale VATU-I-RA che separa Vanua Levu da Viti Levu e in cui l'aliseo gia' bello fresco si incanala e accelera notevolmente. Il vento soffia forte per giorni, ma l'ancoraggio e' sicuro e noi ce ne andiamo ad esplorare le spiaggette che circondano la baia di Cukuvou. Incontriamo i pescatori locali e una famiglia che lavora la copra. Presentiamo il nostro Sevusevu a loro, considerato che il villaggio si trova nella parte sopravvento dell'isola. Quando l'aliseo mostra qualche ora di cedimento, ne approfittiamo per attraversare il canale e raggiungere le isole Yasawa, precisamente l'isola di Yasawa, quella da cui prende il nome l'arcipelago. Ancoriamo davanti al villaggio di Yasawa-i-Rara, un posto di una bellezza incredibile, un ancoraggio in acque turchesi davanti alla spiaggia piu' bella e piu' lunga delle Yasawa. Il vice-chief riceve il nostro Sevusevu e ci accoglie in comunita'. Ci invitano a scuola, ci offrono la colazione e la domenica siamo tutti invitati a partecipare alla funzione in chiesa. Poi ci spostiamo verso sud di pochissime miglia per raggiungere un secondo ancoraggio spettacolare soprannominato "Champagne Beach" per via del colore della spiaggia.
